Well worth it. Me and my lady watched the first season in 1 day and I regret it because it's over. The cast was so into what they wete doing. I just feels so natural. If you can't find greatness in anything I think all One Piece fans will appreciate the chadliness that is ROANOA ZORA!!!

@@ishou9437 No they didn't. The only reason people suck the D of this adaption so much is because every other one was so awful. If this show was its own stand alone thing it would not be nearly as popular. Realistically it's barely anything like the actual anime/manga. They needed to take this energy with an anime that can actually be properly adapted.

Even if they didn't care, let's say they were pretending to care they still showed so much respect to the creator, source material and the fans. This interview should be shown to other actors as to what to say with regards to their projects.

It’s refreshing to see actors and creators who actually care about the source material it is a very rare thing these days

I haven't even seen the show but just from seeing the actors, they literally casted Usopp to play Usopp.

This is what happens when you have a cast and a production team that loves and wants to honour the source material. A cast from all over the world, not because they wanted diversity, but because they fit the role perfectly. This is the diversity we want to see, a diversity in the characters, unified by their love for the source material.

They covered the first 50 Chapter from the Manga. We will probably end the second season before alabasta. Then the Third will be entirely Alabasta imo. No way its not an entire season

The casting for this was brilliant. I really enjoy the energy they brought to their roles. Seasons 2-30? 👀😂

The amount of respect, love, and enthusiasm these young actors bring to this project is infectious. I ended up watching the live version after maybe the first 15-20 episodes of the anime. I only wish there were more episodes in the first season

Emily Rudd being the biggest weeb in their group and showing it by her body language and deference to Oda as Sensei, coupled with Mackenyu’s awareness of just how big One Piece was already when initially pitched the idea is my favorite takeaway from this interview.

Emily Rudd’s hilarious, she’s so deep in the anime life she saw all the green flags way sooner than most.

I just finished watching the live action on Netflix and absolutely loved it! I have not watched the anime but I have seen how dedicated the cast is to their characters by watching them behind the scenes! And they have the best chemistry!!!

I really do love the straw hats in the live action, there all fantastic. But, my favourite is gotta be Iñaki, his energy is reminiscent of Luffy.

The combination of the original creator bring directly involved and the cast all being familiar with/liking the source material makes this show really standout. Those factors are sorely missing in a lot of original IP film adaptations as of late

I don’t mean this as an attack on other actors, but it’s nice to see people who are happily putting their hearts into entertaining us with a faithful adaptation.
