Alucard’s arc broke my heart for multiple reasons. Lenore was even more cunning than Carmilla. Hector is being built up for redemption and a revenge plot. Not sure what the future is for Trevor and Sypha.

I feel the same. Issac had a terrible childhood and in this season he seems conflicted with trying to be kind to humans, which was based on his conversation with the ship captain, or upholding Draculas goals and ending humanity once and for all.

Issac's arc was the heart of this season. I love how complicated is character is. He's just yet isn't a stranger to exhibiting his wrath. I have yet to see him sick the night creatures he creates on the innocent after losing Dracula.

SumDude __ The way they wrote the dialog, they were heavily trying to imply that it was in fact only a month or so, but felt really long. Part of the point of his character is that he’s basically a teenager or younger in an immortal adult’s body. That is pretty fitting for how a kid would treat a month alone, including making little dolls like he did, and not bothering to clean up the halls much if any after the battle. Even things like an overturned candle holder are still left as they were at the entrance to the hall.

5:55 he wasnt dragged into the corridor. He willingly jumped into it in an effort to reunite with that shadowy figure, presumably a loved one. He even thanked Sypha and Trevor.

Nah, they're going to defeat Alucard and Dracula will return, makes sense because there's no other way as yet to bring about a guy who said himself he was far worse than Lucifer unless his wife or son are targeted. He has knowledge so makes sense he could return if he wanted, I see no reason why he's bound by the night creatures or others methods to open portals. He seems to be very well aware of it judging by the fact he's already with his wife.

Not likely. If this was game Hector, yeah, definitely. But I think the creators just love shitting on Hector and making him as much of a simp as possible in the adaptation. Such a disappointment for a main protagonist of a Castlevania game.

@RCP Pilot I don't think so, it's not a symmetrical battle. I think Isaac will take revenge on Alucard for challenging Dracula. The four sisters have Hector, a forge master. Don't think Alucard has a monopoly on knowledge or fighting or subterfuge (craft) that he can defeat them.

Sypha finally got to see why Trevor wasn’t a monster hunter for so long, defeat. Alucard got to see what Dracula had to endure, and decided to take a page from his dad instead of mother (growing up a bit) Hector, well we all saw what happened to Hector. I personally don’t care if he gets redemption. Isaac on the other hand, he’s growing as a character and I honestly can’t wait to see what he does.

Acually, not sure about that. It gained some due to what Season 3 did to certain characters, but haven't seen much anywhere outside whatever is talking about it specifically. Not when it is deviating so much from what people could recognize. It's just Game of Thrones at this point.

@@fernandodecarlosmalcher7977 ....I don't know what to say to you as you've just watched the show lol! The first two seasons was a loose adaption of Dracula's Curse. However, the showrunner and writer had never played or knew of the game, so that is why one main character (Grant) is missing alongside the fact they just didn't like him. Third season is entirely its own thing. Most characters in this have altered backstories nor have the same role as in games. Best I can describe this as is fan fiction. It's using the Castlevania name, but is nothing like it. Not knocking you for liking it, but it's a pretty terrible adaption. It's Netflix.

There's more to Isaac than everyone is mentioning. The last scene, we see the "Sir" mirror in it's larger form and it shows him the old woman. What does that mean? Then, after defeating the sorcerer, he makes an interesting statement about the city. He says to kill all the humans, presumably to turn into his army, but then goes on to say "Maybe it'll be inhabited once again by the humans, or maybe it will just be a monument". This is his arc this season coming full circle, and he's chosen his own path (per the conversation with the sailor Captain). So he's not looking to punish the humans any longer it seems, but I do believe he will still enact his revenge on Carmilla.

Maybe someone mentioned this already - but I think that this season wanted to prove that Alucard, Trevor & Sypha depend on each other. Almost as if they‘re incomplete without each others company. Going separate ways was a huge mistake - believing that everything is settled was an illusion. Dracula was the biggest threat given the former circumstances, but devils are everywhere and not only located in hell. Sypha painfully experienced this. Alucard seemed to be blinded by the intention of being different that his father yet his trustworthy nature turned against him. But Trevor... he gave me the feeling that he was merely an observor the whole time. Their lifes are interwoven with each other.

Hector needs justice, he got screwed over hard too many times And Alucard is going down a dangerous path, really hope Trevor and Sypha reunite with him

I think the blacksmith who made Hector's ring will help him free and give him Vampire Killing gear. . Hector liked the book that was lend to him and even praised it for its philosopy. Later Linore said the book belongs to the blacksmith which may hint that the blacksmith is a wise vampire. Further dialogs also hints that that blacksmith is oppressed and treated as a tool. So that last scene maybe an introduction for that character for next season.

Who was the magician Issac killed? Who was the 'mad' woman in the village? Are the rings Lenore gave the rest of her sisters able to put them under her control? Who was the person St. Germain looking for? What were the visions? Why was the demon in the church so powerful and even able to open the Infinite Corridor? Yes he had souls but how did he hv the ability?

It would really bum me out if Alucard becomes the antagonist but at the same time... it could be really interesting.

All four endings of this season were tragic. Definitely ended on a sad note, but still a fulfilling one.

In Dante’s Inferno, there is a place that souls go to that did no wrong but lacked faith. It’s Limbo, bordering the edge of hell. That could be why Lisa is there. But there are also other explanations, like it being a vision of her, or Dracula is in Limbo too, etc. No definitive answer so you have to make your own conclusion for now.

They are taking a lot of liberties with alucard, in the game after defeating his father he just go and slumber for hundred of years, it is stated in the symphony of the night game. He feels he doesn't have anything to give to the world and that's why he makes that decision.

I think Alucard went on sleep mode because he doesn't want to become like his father, Dracula became the way he is by living for centuries, experiencing things such as love, hate, deception, boredom, betrayal, regret, vengeance etc over and over in an endless loop... Alucard knew inmortality will do this to him so he choosed to remain pure and clean by sleeping until he was needed. In the series well is safe to say he's going to do the same thing he did after Castlevania 3, which is sleep in coffin but they gave him a legit reason for wanting to disconnect from the world by giving him this little arc. I don't have an issue with his little arc it makes sense, it makes 0 sense after Castlevania 3 he wanted to dissapear since despite losing both parents he made 3 new friends and has a world to discover. This adds more weight to his decision to take nap for centuries.

Going off the games, Dracula will be back in a couple years.

Kyle Stuebner well not for this one, Death brought him back early in Curse of Darkness which chronologically would be next.

Dracula came back in Curse of Darkness. Not for very long but he was there.

“We are but men, drawn to act in the name of revenge that we deem to be justice. But if there is justice in revenge, then that same justice will breed only more revenge and trigger a cycle of hatred.”

Considering the story has mostly followed the games just with detail the games didn't include due to their restrictions back then aka NES/SNES games weren't amazing for story telling of a platformer lol; this can fill in a lot of holes in a linear way the games did not take due to more obvious reasons of adding story in different points. Being that in 2003 we got a game that went into the year 2035 and showed a reincarnation of Dracula as a human avoiding the same fate, and Dracula being sealed in the eclipse as a permanent kill, we finally get a linear story that even included Leon Belmont (though sadly only as a painting. Maybe Germaine can find Leon and explain away a few things that happened back then like how Vampire Killer was made into a weapon capable of slaying Vampires, rather than the original Alchemical Whip). Curse of Darkness takes place 3 years after the events of Castlevania 3, and only a month has passed as far as we know since Dracula was killed. So we have QUITE a bit of time before we see Issac and Hector enact any plans, and Trevor was part of that story too. Being that Trevor has not met Hector or Issac yet (that I recall) this makes for that story to still happen considering he didn't know them in Curse of Darkness either. Legion also did return there as a golem and festering ball of rotting corpses too. What we saw in season 3 could very well lead to that happening due to Issac. Issac also may kill Lenore who I think Hector does have some affection for regardless of the outcome, as Hector ended the game with Issac's sister too. There's so much that can happen that it would be no surprise if it just did follow the games in a more linear fashion while having the story fill in the missing plotholes. Alucard was never one to become vengeful against humanity either. In fact the last Belmont he recalls is Trevor and knows no one beyond that, not knowing who Richter is, even though Richter at the time had slain Dracula in the 1700s. So Alucard may end up just going into his self imposed exile again.

Alucard is definitely the one I'm worried for the most now after seeing season 3. Being foreshadowed to follow his father's footsteps. Poor vampire..

Crossover with contra and metal gear would be epic.

Hector is being set up for a redemption plot and he's the dopest character on the show so I can't wait to see that development. Cuz he's just a regular dude, atleast that's the impression he gives me.

I once met Saint Germain in SMT: Devil Summoner Raidou Kuzunoha. I thought it was cool how that happened shortly after I first learned of him, I didn't even expect to run into him in a game.

There's no need to explain just watch the show it's not hard to follow

That area in the infinite corridor looks like the Labyrinth in DMC3

I hope that Alucard reunites with Belmont and sypha and Issac finds Hector and have a big endgame battle against carmilla.

I would love to see Isaac have a full army, and discover how to bring Dracula back. After the ritual seems to fail, Isaac and his armies march on Styria. A battle breaks out between the vampires and night creatures, and it looks as though Camilla will kill Isaac, and at the last minute a portal opens in front of Isaac and Camilla. The battle ceases as a tall dark figure emerges from the portal. Terror fills Camilla's eyes, "No . . . it . . . it's" Isaac smiles, "Dracula." Dracula's eyes burn fiery red as he unleashes his own army of night creatures from the portal.

I want them to jump to Symphony of the Night and Richter.

Can anyone tell me what is the name of the style of sword that ALUCARD wields? I think it's a variation of a "rapier", but I'm not sure. Looks coo AF

Issac after the discussion with the captain (which was a very nice scene in my opinion) , may use his power to change the humans and lead them to something better, so that how he may be opponents with Carmilla .

An interesting and great depiction of the Castlevania series.

I really don’t mind Dracula to come back but he seem happy at where he is, also all I can say is can’t wait for season 4.

What if Saint Jermain comes back at the end of Season 4 and takes Trevor and Sifa to the future and they fight alongside Simon

I hate that they teased a Dracula return. I want him to come back somehow.

Meh, I think they are actually doing so great with this show.

ALUCARD's sword is one of my favorite sword designs ever. Even more than a Katana or a Viking Sword. Man @ Arms forged a beautiful version of the sword.

Leaving behind Trevor and Sypha isn't that unlikely given who their son is. That said, I don't think that's the direction they're going.

I dont know what most people think but why is there recently this trend to always incorporate time travel and such especially in series like this where I'd prefer to keep it as a dark fantasy with demons, night creatures, magic etc. I think adding the whole sci-fi alternate dimensions, time travel thing is unnecessary.

It's because Saint Germain is a time traveler in the games. It's not really a new trend, it's just adapting source material from the early 2000s.

Time travel IS magic. Alucard even mentions that science and magic are two sides of the same coin in season 4. Magic portals to different universes/timelines is nothing new in shows related to the supernatural, where have you been? Btw time travel is 100% real 😁

Infinite corridor would be a great way to introduce Soma Cruz somehow.

As someone who has never played the games or read any books... this is all so interesting. I just thought Alucard would have more purpose... must be in Season 4

Isaac, I feel in season 4 is going to somehow kill Morana and then get brutally destroyed by Striga. And thus is the end of the character, Isaac.

Issac will be fine, he's probably the one who's going to ressurect Dracula

:O, I never connected the two pieces together, Saint Germain really does look like the mad magician...oh the possibilities!!!

Personally, i'm getting Berserk vibes from this season. Brilliant, just brilliant.

I was extremely sad for Hector but hopefully Issac comes thru for his boi 😫 Issacs dialogue with the pirate was also very beautifully in depth and personal ❤️

The saint germain and the mad magician theory is starting to grow on me especially that both of them are mighty magicians ...despite the eye color difference , its still quite possible

I loved Isaac this season for the reason that he and Lenore actually did something this season and planned their approach to whatever goal they set for themselves. Isaac is so deadly but his gentleman charm is what intrigued the most and that his human side ALWAYS gives humanity a chance and then they mess it up resulting in him slaughtering them. SO interesting!

As of now, Castlevania is my favourite show, no show animated or otherwise comes even close.

So season 4 gonna be chapter in curse of darkness? But still haven’t seen the vampire war carmilla brewing.

I cant remember the last time I watched an anime with a female character that I find very sexy without revealing outfit. I'm talking about Sypha and even Trevor said they dress like boys.

This isn't an anime. Anime is animation made by a Japanese studio in Japan. Why are people misusing something basic? This is Western animation, so it is a cartoon. It doesn't even look like an anime, but more like Legend of Korra. And that is a reference to Sypha's original counterpart, but it doesn't make sense in this context. She was raised by the church to fight against darkness, but in order to hide her being a witch, she dressed like a man. In this, it wouldn't make sense for godless nomads to bother with that. Again, just a slight reference stuck in there.
