As always you are the KING of the hidden gems. I haven't heard of most of these, at all. And honestly Power of the Dog, well, it's the definition of slow. It takes forever to get to the point. And it's a good point, to be sure, but you will suffer for a bit waiting.

KZread is fantastic, because a guy like this gets a chance to build an audience and it's purely merit-based. There are no producers/editors deciding who is worthy of being a film critic. I hope he's well-compensated because these videos are great. It's the only KZread channel that I actually turned on the notifications. Great job Darren.

In contrast, I cannot stand his slow cadence and the script being used repeats concepts one after another repeatedly. Why the fuck do I need to see you on the screen at all when we are talking about movies? I paused the video and individually looked up each movie on other channels so that I could actually get a clear and concise idea of whether I would be interested. Thumbs up for the pinned comment though, and since I did utilize the list I will also like the video. I won't be back though.

Still not worth it. One plot twist that a passing knowledge of infectious diseases gives away. Unlikeable characters, manipulative content, promoted obsessively due to the "toxic male" messaging (which was much better depicted in American Beauty and elsewhere), and the low IMDb score for an "Oscar" film all speak volumes for why it was divisive at best...and yes, poorly paced too.

@@rustyshackleford6035 at the risk of giving a few spoilers, officers under investigation are suspended with or without pay until the investigation is complete. Not sent to dispatch. We don't transfer calls around on 911 to other calltakers/dispatchers. The amount of personal phone calls he took and made were unheard of. Hanging up on the overdose call would have gotten him a whole other investigation and probably fired. Where I worked (one of the largest in the country) light duty officers didn't take 911 calls, just non emergency. I get that they did what they did for the purpose of telling the story they wanted to tell, like any movie. I am sure most other jobs are misrepresented as well.

Thanks for weighing in, I get when reality needs to bent a little in movies for plot sake. But Hollywood and we the viewers in turn have gotten lazy. 21:37 That’s a glider, probably a ‘Horsa’ troop transport (to be fair, it might be a ‘Waco’). (Definitely not a B-52 - a jet powered bomber from the 50s). But the film looks good regardless. I had an uncle injured at Arnhem, as far as I know the ‘Battle of the Scheldt’ has never been covered in a film before.

ALIVE. Is again one of the superior Korean Zombie film they seem to be reinvigorating the genre! I believe there was a English language remake of this but I forget the title. Not a B-52, it was a British Glider Airspeed AS.51 Horsa, they're towed by bombers and then released to float into battle territory.

The Forgotten Battle: B52 crash? B52 first flew in 1952, a little after WW2. This was a wayward British glider landing behind enemy lines probably towed by a C47. No B52’s in sight.

It was British, so more likely Lancaster, not C47.

@@nandisaand5287 Actually a Short Sterling or Halifax would be more likely than a Lancaster if the tow planes were British. However the RAF acquired nearly 2000 C47’s under Lend Lease naming them Dakotas. They were used, among other things, to drop paratroopers and to tow gliders.

There are settings by pushing up or down on the remote (during play) that give you subtitles and language options. Although not all have a dubbed option.

What propaganda? Let me guess, because it portrayed a somewhat wimpy slightly effeminate man, you assumed he was gay and it was a gay movie? 🤣 You missed the part where the weird kid man’s up and kills his tormentor in epic fashion. But dude, there was no propaganda in the movie, you were triggered because you are a homophobe. Too funny!
