But these bloody British started its loot even before 1757. 1757 marks the battle of Plassey where British East company defeated Siraj, last nawab of bengal and got its control on Kolkata. Later, in 1857 the great revolt broke out. At that time, British government took over. So it's not 89 years. It's a rigorous loot and torture for more than 200 years.

So many quote sex perverts and racists like M.K. Gandhi and M.L. King as the gods of pacifism, and everything else! How did he manage to coordinate all this. The man was light years ahead of his time. Congress ditched him because they were power hungry. He manages to reach Germany, raise a govt in exile, raises an army. Goodness the list is endless. He got to be the greatest, bravest and the most intelligent person ever lived this planet. A true Barat Ratna (Not sure if he received that either!) We as a nation haven't quite paid the respect he richly deserved. The movie's title - The Forgotten Hero is just perfect. Salute Sir.

My grandfather late Muhammad Idris Mia was a soldier of Indian National Army. He was worked in the British Indian Railway under East India Company. When the war got It's first step, he revolt against british and joined INA.He fought for INA in the Burma front. After Partition of 1947,he left India to East Pakistan(Bangladesh) for his family members. I salute all INA martyrs and fighters on behalf of a Soldier's blood.

I am from Bangladesh, My grandfather said he tried a lot to join military of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose. Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose was the real hero of Indian freedom movement. He was the spark in the blood of freedom loving people. ❤❤❤ The movie seems very unreal regarding use of language and background songs. Azadi force used non-hindi language more than hindi. Unfortunately today Indian army don't have any Bengali regiment 😢

Thank God this movie was made back in 2004. If it's made today they will have one item song and a whole focus on love story between Bose and his secretary. What a brilliant movie with amazing story line.

I watched this movie recently and got more insight on India's freedom struggle. How the real heroes are sidelined by the ruling clan after independence. Good to see more lights on shown on Netaji in the last few years. We should screen these types of films in schools so that the younger generation knows the true freedom movement of India.
