So beautifully executed! He was performing at the Santa Fe Opera one year. A well known local Piano Bar/Restaurant yearly has opera apprentice knight where the young apprentices, and occasionally some of the featured stars go to whet their whistle, perform for free. It's an intimate music room where local vocalists can have their turn at the mic. Maestro Hymel was there, remaining quietly in the background while the apprentices showcased their talents. Near the end of the evening, they encouraged Bryan to "do just one song". Reluctantly, he chose this aria, singing only to the very fine "house" pianist. He laid waist to the full house. Yet, to his very own surprise, the apprentices backed him up in chorus. The moment was so indescribably beautiful, and chilling, it felt good to be alive. He left no man nor woman with a dry eye in the house. I discovered him that night and have been a fan ever since. He is a gracious, unpretentious, and humble man. This video effected me in nearly the same way! I neglected to mention, he sang the entire aria, effortlessly, while sitting on a stool next to the piano.

I got to see him live recently. He truly is going to be the next big singer. His voice, as best described by my teacher, is like a roaring engine. You just don't know its limits and that's the best part.

Para mi gusto es un nessum algo lento, pero cantado con un gusto exquisito. Impresionante el ataque y mantenimiento del agudo. para mí, Bodiloto, lo único equivocado eres tú...Pero no te preocupes eso suele pasar con todos sesudos pseudo-puristas que intentan arrebatar al canto lo que es su esencia... Pero, qué le vamos a hacer, los snobs mandan hoy en día

è ingolato. posizione della voce sbagliatissima. questa e la mia modesta opinione. l'orchestra è semplicemente insopportabile. ragazzi d'orchestra perché non provate di suonare ancora più forte?... siete tutti sordi . poveri cantanti...

Ma scherzi? Ha una estensione di voce che gli consente di intonare i LA3 centrali con una estrema facilità per concludere poi con un SI naturale pieno, mantenuto per diversi secondi! Riascoltalo con più attenzione e segui tutta l'aria nei vari passaggi avendo in mano lo spartito del brano.

Hymel ha una buona estensione, ma è terribile, anche se ho sentito tenori peggiori. Ho avuto modo di ascoltarlo dal vivo ed è ingolato ed ha difficoltà con le dinamiche specie quelle forti. Forse se studiasse meglio... Peccato, ha grandi potenzialità.
