I'm sorry but what idiot would leave anything closed up while still humid? I wash mine with soap and a soft sponge every single day, wipe it dry with a tissue, keep the whisk out of the machine until I use it, and always leave the lid open. It seems like basic level common sense........

Hi, you explained how to clean the frother spring thing but what about the actual container? Nespresso suggest not to submerge in water but use a wet sponge to clean inside then dry it. Can you use washing up liquid on that sponge? How do I then wash it without submerging it in water?

It would be best to not only dry it really well, but keep the lid off and the springy mixer off too. If your home is humid, mold will grow very quickly inside the frother.

I wash and wipe clean on every use and let it dry upside down in dish drying rack . I don’t cover for storage

I do the same and keep the little round thing out of the chamber to make sure it is aerated most of the time. Simple and effective!

coco10460 I agree. I would never put the lid on for storage even if I wiped it out first with a paper or cloth towel. There is always leftover moisture and closing it up just traps it causing mold growth. I'm reasonably sure that this would occur with any brand of electric frother, not just the aeorccino.

Thank you. I wouldn’t have even thought about that I just found one if the original aeroccino fritters for $7 and it had no instructions I’m glad to know that I should dry it thoroughly

You dont get mold because of the water but because of the milk leftovers. You probably didnt wash it properly!

@@atlantamusicmarketing It is. If you don't keep your bathroom clean and dry, mold will form. It's a lot easier to keep your frother clean and dry.

​@@khw210mold is caused by moisture/water lol. Any home can get mold, not from uncleanness but from moisture.

I never ever use the cover for storage. I put a drop of dish soap in and run it on cold for a minute then rinse it out and dry it upside down. No mold issues here. Using only plant based milk which may be why?

I wonder if every mo or so should sit in bowl with vinegar to kill mold then dry .

My machine is new but it does no longuer make the foam anyone has a solution ?? 😢😢

you are blaming someone else for your short commings.. that you admit to in the video. so is it the car manufactures problem when you pour diesel into your petrol engine ???

I hate how much effort this needs to clean and dry every time otherwise tastes bad. If someone can suggest alternatives. Name them..
