Man, did this ever bring a rush of nostalgia!! One of my absolute favorites growing up!
Pick ups in the game: Blue Yashichi - Immortality Red Yashichi - Blood transfusions (if you get shot you, you won't die, but a second shot will kill you) Wanted list - Pick it up and at the end you'll meet the boss. (If you don't pick it up, you'll go back to the beginning) POW - Kills all enemies on screen Boots - Accelerate movement Rifle - Increases the range of shooting but a little more exaggerated scattering of bullets Skull - Reduces statistics (shooting range, walking speed) Horse - calls the horse

Damn, this game was really good for its time; nice soundtrack, even the pause menu has its sound. It has trading, and so much new things for that year. I haven't appreciated it until now.
Bons tempos.

I used to love playing this game. I remember faking sick and staying home from school to beat this game.
I used to play this when I was at high school. Good memories…
Gunsmoke is ABSOLUTELY STUNNING and AMAZING on the Nintendo 🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩
Years on and I'm still in love with this
23:53 RIP Horsey! 😢
I bought this game in 1987 for $34 at a toy store called Child World before I even owned a Nintendo. I did this because I wanted a Nintendo so bad I knew if i bought a game first, I would have no choice but to save up for one. Got $50 for Christmas that year, and since a Nintendo was $118, I was almost halfway there. It was the first time I really had to save for something and set a goal and then accomplished it. I have better memories of this game than any other!
I played this game so much !
loved this game! ahh nostalgia x.x
I can't emphasise enough how much I freaking love this game and can't begin to count how many hours I've put in over the years. And this game is begging for a sequel maybe as just a downloadable console game or Hell even as a smartphone game.

You could always try the MAME arcade version
mannnnnnn!!! The second stage sounding like Little Nemo and the Dream Master and those original Mega Man sound effects!! love this game.
I think how hard this game was was some of its appeal to me. My local supermarket had Gun Smoke as an arcade game when I was a kid. I managed to make it to Level 3 the first time I played it, all the older kids thought I was the MAN. :D

Red Dead Revolver was originally supposed to be a sequel to this game.
I've been wanting Capcom to reboot this game for a long time, or give it the Bionic Commando Rearmed treatment. It's up there in my top 5 NES games.

Valis, man you play the coolest games
This game is glorious. Especially the song 'The Smoking Guns of Liberation' :3 NOTE: Said song is played during 'The Boulders' stage
Loved this game as a kid!
"We are on your side" proceeds to charge a shit tonne of cash.
The base sound when the horse arrives is awesome to this day.
I got GunSmoke and ikari Warriors for the NES for my Birthday, the train back from Manchester lasted for ever. Nothing took longer than waiting to get home with a new NES game.

They couldn’t make this game today. This was such a fun and great game.
this Channel is great bro keep this way
Love the title & intro theme.
I remember being quite bad at this game as a kid, and seeing this longplay makes me wish I still had the old cartridge.
Childhood memories
I've never even played this but now I really want to. Really like like the comanche village theme.
I really miss this
Before I even view this..THIS WAS ONE COOL GAME!!
Release this on the Virtual Console now!!! I need this on my Wii U. And usually I would of course prefer arcade versions, but in this case the NES sound chip might make this more pleasant version for me.
It reminds me of my early years.
I didn't appreciate it back then because I was expecting something else (I don't know, maybe a western side scroller or something). But looking back at it now, it was a fresh idea on the shooter genre, and it's too bad I didn't give it more time.
My real first feeling of wild west better then any cowboy movie in its day. I play this today but I gots the turbo button so it’s like the machine gun all the time. 😎👍
You have to finish this game three times in order to get the true ending. The true ending simply says "THE END."

WAIT. You can pick up the dynamite? You can shoot down the BOOMERANGS?? My childhood is a lie. I lost so many lives to Cutter. I might have beaten this as a kid if I'd known that.
ALL BOSSES : 3:48, 7:17, 12:37, 16:42, 20:23, 25:36 ( Final Boss )
Apparently the guy playing this doesn't know that you can shoot FORWARD in this game as well...
good video thank for upload
i like this port to the NES more the the arcade version
awesome game. today's games in android and ios seemed to get old pretty fast.
That's quite a motley crew of outlaws!
thanks
i only knew 2 people growing up that could beat this game without some kind of turbo controller. this is how video games should be made. i love this game, and i love it being fuckin tough.
want to said that some skeleton appear from the broken wooden barrel will reduce the character status such as walking speed and fire power. It didn't increase the incoming but only deal harmful to the character. So just avoid it.
Hey man! You are supposed to beat it three times to actually play through it fully ;) This game is awesome.
Великая тема)) максимум до индейцев доходил)
Takes place in 1849, but there are Ninjas, magnums, machine guns and ridiculously high payouts (for the time) for bounties. Sounds about right, historically.

These graphics are Dazzling.
I bet the guy who did the music from Sweet Home did this soundtrack
Damn I can't forget the bg music of this game huhuhu
The only complaint I've got is it's difficulty and once-shot death. But this is a good game with good music.
The only vertical shooter I know of that actually take place on the ground. :>
