I find it pretty funny you go for the cheapo equipment all the time man 😂, it like playing the little grab a toy claw machine games they have in the entry of a grocery store. Love the vids man, stay safe out there 👍

Nice video, and great job brother. I'm glad you mentioned about the ground crew. Because if you didn't, you know I was going to, lol I think you should dock their pay just a little bit. That would definitely get their attention. 😂 Anywho brother, thanks for the video. And my Father YHVH bless y'all.

A pay reduction! I'll have to run that by the boss and see how it goes :) Good hearing from ya man
As we get older it seems we don't have the time , patience and energy to work with crap tools. When i was younger i started with crappy tools, had an old corded electric drill that didn't have reverse, now i would smash it against a tree.

yeah I was mildly frustrated -- not the feeling you want when you're out doing a job. speaking of which: I hope the new job is treating you well!
Good job Spencer. Nice even rounds on that main stem. Those would be great splitting if you were going to burn them. You’ll have to video that leaner. I took down a nice black birch this week. Beautiful smelling wood.
@metaspencer

Yeah we've got A LOT of splitting in our future around here :)
Nice vid as ever. I've got the holzforma Chinese ms200t and it's taken a bit of messing around to get it running well. Replaced the fuel and air filters for Stihl ones, shortened the line on the spark plug boot etc. But the main thing has been loads of fiddling around with the carburettor. That little saw sounded like the low screw needed adjusting to stop it bogging out as much on full revs. Just a thought and someone might've already mentioned it in the comments but it's worth a go.
@metaspencer
Жыл бұрын
You said it man: monkeying around with those carb screws has helped a lot, though I always feel like I'm experimenting when it comes to carb adjustment. Plenty of power and a bit more control now ... definitely less $$$$ out the door :)

Enjoyed the video. A couple weeks ago I took down a maple very similar to that one......a fun tree. I did all the limbing, topping and half the spar with my DCS-2500T. Finished it up with my Echo 4910. I like the looks of the leaner. I'd like that job. AND that Neo is junk in MHO.

It would have been great to have the 2500T up there for sure. Dang Neo-Tec is a freak show of a saw ... Yeah, the leaner will be a good one

Hello Hello sir. 👍

I believe that the most important thing about a chainsaw is how easy it is to start. After it’s warmed up, does it always start on the first pull?
@metaspencer
2 ай бұрын
Yep this saw passes that test ... starts up great when warm. But it took some tuning to get the dang saw to run right AFTER that point
Norway maple? Those have been brittle when I’ve done them. Maybe cut further into the branch union to get the peel.

Glad to see you back in the tree’s. How are you liking the Uni? I’m curious about getting one but I love the zag and rope runner
@metaspencer
Жыл бұрын
For me I just use the Uni for a backup anchor/lifeline and for coming down out of the tree. When climbing/pruning/limbwalking I'm still more into the rope runner. I have noticed that the Uni runs a lot better on thicker ropes, like my 11mil. Devices are just different and everyone seems to have a favorite
Okay brother I'm just now starting to watch this video. But before I get over a few seconds into it. I need to know one thing. Are you saying sticky mulch or stanky mulch? 😂
I can't do the grasshoppers 🤣

Hey Spencer, always looking forward to your uploads. Thanks for the good content! Just a quick question, is it ok to let the tree fall on your climbing line like that? I feel like the core or fibers could get damaged by that. Stay safe!
@metaspencer
Жыл бұрын
Hey man, it sucks to drop it on the line! totally blows. Avoid that kind of stuff like the plague ... better to come down on a dual-rope system leaving a tag line on the spar
That's actually a decent little saw 😀 The starter cover on mine is a bit different... I have the "chainsaw" branded version... It's a good little runner believe it or not I have the exact same one guilty of treeson made a video with.. I dropped mine 40 feet (yes really) from a tree and it fell just right in some brush on the clutch side... only thing that happened was a couple of the mounts got out of place... as far as cheap chinese products go you can't ask for much more... I've also talked to another youtuber that made a video about it and he told me he passed it on to someone and 2 years later it was still running... not sure what the deal is but farmertec sells a very similar saw but with only one bar nut... I'm assuming yours is the 2 nuts... now on to the rest of the video!

The "chainsaw brand"! haha ... gotta love it. I've heard from some other guys that adjusting the carb might bring it around

Knock the saw all you want... It looks like it did the job just fine! Nowhere is it written that it's made for Professional work and knowing that you take it on the Job and relentlessly criticize it for not being the Pro. chainsaw you use. Not a fair analogy.
