Neonatal Respiratory Distress Syndrome (NRDS)
Neonatal Respiratory Distress Syndrome (NRDS) is due to low surfactant in the lungs. Lecithin to sphingomyelin ratio is diagnostic. Lung biopsy may show hyaline membranes. Glucocorticoids is usually recommended for premature babies.
