Neocaridina 'cherry' shrimp & Russian red daphnia - I'm asked more about these two creatures than any other. They make for a fun feature aquarium, and being they are both highly productive this tank will also produce harvests for feeding your fish. Here are the two most important tips for success.

I have 10 shrimp and I am changing + - 70% of the water once per week, this week the water seemed a bit disturbed and today came to realise I have a massive load of Daphnia in the filter the water never goes bad so I am wondering if the Daphnia is good or bad for the shrimp, thanks for your video.
If you don't run the filter (or don't have any filter), will the daphnia keep the water clear or will you end up with cloudy water?
Do the daphnia eat the baby shrimp ?
Is it ideal to breed daphnia in a fish breeding tank?

Fish will eat/kill all the daphnia. Those they don't eat they kill by biting them. Shrimp however love daphnia in their tank.
Don't the shrimp eat the daphnia?
