Nah, ChefRobert is top Tamu fan.😻🤘but thanks Waterwalker 🤘I love Akane and Haruna just as much, they are with my all time favs Portnoy, Neil Peart, Bonham, Derossier, and Hideki. But when asked that day at work our favorites, I go with Tamu, as I also always loved Portnoy and Dream Theater. I loved Lovebites in 2018 when caught them at Wacken. Then checking YT for Lovebites, I had Band Maid pop up, and Murata Tamu drumming when younger, really Ai Murata. Caught some of her video covers, then later her playing DT, Dance of eternity. Loved her calm, relaxed play, and love Tamu and Haraguchi sans, , constant smiling , laughing while playing. Hazuki as well. But her smile wins it for me. Thank you Brew, Brown sugar. Brown sugars reactions are fun. Brew very stoic here, heh. Fighter not just a favorite Nemo song , but in my top all time songs. It’s like they made the perfect song.

Agree, the best of female J-Rock/Metal drummers are HARUNA, TAMU, and AKANE...I'll add MARINA in that group too.

I was hooked to drum covers since I discovered Solitary Glen covering Dream Theatre's Pull Me Under. Since then, I exploring more drum covers in which Glen and Aria Deathstorm been my favourite duo. Until one sweet day, I discovered one of the most complicated drum line of Mike Portnoy, the Constant Motion, covered by tiny Japanese female drummer with the most adorable smiles when she goes faster or when she made a mistake, Murata Tamu, who still at the age of 22 that time in 2015. I am hooked to her and been my favourite drummer to watch since then. That cover, until now (2022) still is the most viewed Constant Motion drum covers on YT.

@@waterwalker9600 yes Sir, I am Tamu's fan since 2015 and when she announced she is becoming permanent drummer for NEMOPHILA, I am a bit taken aback since there will be less videos from her... but after learning who NEMOPHILA is and how sick their line-ups is, I am more than happy to have her with NEMOPHILA than any other band or vice versa. They really deserved each other and on top of that, she is going to pull off her originals as well, which so far have been marvelous all over. And that Constant Motion drum covers always been my favourite cover from her especially her smiles at her own mistake towards the end. She did that smiles again in The Trooper cover, didn't know its just honest mistake or she just want to check if others are paying attentions and if she did that, they caught Haraguchi-san off guard 😂

It always amaze me that drummers can memorize alla these advanced drum patterns. Tamu-san, I just love her for her amazing drumming!

Nice bowl. You should do a bowl of nothing but Nemophila covers. Choose from Iron Maiden's "The Trooper", Kiss' "Detroit Rock City", Skid Row's "Youth Gone Wild", ACDC's "Whole Lotta Rosie", Misfits' "Die Die My Darling", Motley Crue's "Shout At The Devil" and T-Rex's "20th Century Boy". The roach clip can be the extreme death metal classic, NiziU's "Make You Happy".

Another excellent bowl but I am biased towards Nemophilia. I have joked before about my destain for Tamu's husband but she is a joy to watch playing her drum kits. The X Japan cover demonstrates how all insanely talented they all are but the extra smiles between Haraguchi-san and Tamu, melt your heart. The smiling thunder indeed! 😍😍

Unlucky Morpheus made a badass cover of The Dance of Eternity, it would be worth a reaction.

I think they only covered Kurenai to see if they could make Tamu break a sweat. She covers it a couple more times on her own channel - worth it to see how much work it actually is. For her, every day is leg day...

16:21 Totally agreed! In Rock/Metal Mayu has the current best female vocals, bar none. The perfect timbre for this genre imo - rasp with enough raw grit alongside great fries, with good control and enough power/range. She also has the right energy and aggression onstage Not to mention. her english is decent as well. Far better than most native Japanese artists I've heard in my decade+ years of exploring the Japanese music scene.

Oh do you guys know of Kurenai? Might be one of the best japanese metal songs ever, from X Japan.

@@partogiogi6934 I prefer original 70s/80s Punk, I was brought up on it, but I am partial to a little Offspring. Pop Punk actually has bands in that classification from the 70s & 80s believe it or not, Ramones, Bad Religion, Undertones, Buzzcocks & even The Misfits. But I know the bands you mean, namely Offspring, Greenday, Blink182.

@@paulpabloanderson6884 Try an Aussie punk/rock band called AMYL and the SNIFFERS. They are travelling to the US shortly for some gigs. They are popular in the UK as well. SOME MUTTS and HERTS are pretty good. They are more UK/early 1970's Aussie rock style.

Amazing drummer! Amazing songs! Did you already see X-Japan play Kurenai themselves btw or was that not possible cause of copyright or something? I tried to suggest Show-Ya's cover of it but apparently that video doesn't work in the US but how about the original? There is this live version with a piano and violin intro that is just magical.

I love them the more I hear them too. Fantastic skill, great chemistry, and heavier than the core of the Sun. My dream tour for Nemophila would be with Unlucky Morpheus more than LOVEBITES, but there's no wrong combination of those three bands. Also, if you like rasp in your vocals, Liliac awaits.
