Thanks for the great reaction and shout out Eric! I knew you would love the bass solo and drum groove. Of course everything about this song is just as cool as those parts. This song was instantly one of my favorites. These girls were doing mostly covers during Covid (Band formed in Aug 2019). IMO, they are one of the most improved bands during this time. Murata Tamu (drummer) and YOYOKA did a drum duo video during the Roland/BOSS Player Summit 2020, where they both judged young up and coming drummers. Yes, YOYOKA was judging other drummers just as she turned 11 y.o. Thanks again, Eric!

@@eyeflynoosaI would have to put Bandmaid and Lovebites at top with Nemophila right behind them and closing fast. I used to hate metal until Lovebites and Nemophila. Now I only watch all female Japanese Bands. All of this started with me seeing YOYOKA in my feed and branching off to these 3 bands. I have a special connection to YOYOKA because she and her family home stayed with me a 3 times when they were in Las Vegas and I spent a lot of time with them. Such an awesome family.

For Murata Tamu's drumming you need to listen to "Hypnosis" and "Adabana" she has solos in both, and "Hypnosis" is a metal song in the Frisian scale.

I'm enjoying your Nemophila reactions, and as others have posted Adabana (and also Oiran - one of the live versions) would be good ones for you to check out. I don't think you've reacted yet to Gacharic Spin, another Japanese band who have more of a pop-funk sound but can also get heavy at times, are fantastic musicians - and sometimes play with two drummers! Check out the live video of Tamashii from 2019 for a Gacharic Spin-style drum battle.

It's not backing vocals but backing tracks of the album backing vocals (same volume and fullnes, with all members, just 2 members or even just Saki)

Very sad news. Saki (lead guitarist - striped top) announced (after you posted this) she was leaving Nemophila. For you and your friend, Bandmaid recently dropped the following video. The bass solo tops this one by a bunch, and this one is awesome! " BAND-MAID / HATE? (Official Live Video) " kzread.info/dash/bejne/q5qDtNGKedSoY6g.html There is also a few other epic surprises that I won't mention....lol All these Japanese girl bands keep leveling up, just when you think they couldn't get any better!

@@DrumAttic Of course Eric. Thanks! They should do what Lovebites did. Put out a request for auditions. They didn't do bad finding Fami, one of the best in the world...lol There are so many world class female guitarists in Japan of equal or nearly equal talent, not that Saki isn't a uber talented shredder, it's just that there are more like her.
