just wanted to ask, as a mage how do you counter kaenic rookern. the item feels so oppressive and magic pen like void staff helps but the magic shield is still so large

Some champs handle it better than others, but I often build liandrys and void to handle tanks if I there's more than one. I also don't build void too often anymore as I like the other percent pen item better. The heal helps my team and gives some haste.

Why are you not putting your last point in Q? Is it not that beneficial?

4 points is enough to one shot backwave, every point in Q increases the mana cost just for damage, while every point in W decreases its cooldown

U want to go lost chapter into lich bane tbh bc u need mana but lich is super strong rn and a better spike than malignance rush. But optimal itemisation changes game to game. Lich also provides more reliable damage where, like zoe, u can kill or chunk enemies just by using w and ult, weaving in autos - so without needing to land any skill shots!

what? hard disagree tbh. shes safe with malignance because her ult is almost always up but i still feel like she gets outclassed a lot

Most games are lost not because your champion is worse but because you die more than the enemy. Having ult up means you are impossible to kill in lanes so you will most likely have less deaths > more impact. 1 death difference already means whatever champion you're playing is likely both xp and gold up so you are guaranteed to be more useful. Also, Ahri has reliable CC and pick ability while also being incredibly safe, how does she get ouclassed "a lot"?

She has movement, easy cc, reliable damage and waveclear. Like nemesis said, 1 charm can win any fight.
