Nelson Mandela University's Science Centre

The addition of a large dome to the skyline at Nelson
Mandela University signals another step forward in
the transformation journey of an institution in the service of society.
The new iconic Digital Dome on Ocean Science Campus, completed
in 2023, will not only serve the University’s academic project but also the wider Gqeberha community with its multi-purpose and immersive capabilities.
The new building funded by the Department of Higher Education’s
(DHET) Infrastructure Efficiency Grant, and presently referred to as
the Digital Dome or Science Centre offers capabilities beyond that of a
planetarium.
It will be a major boon to everyone’s understanding of science, but also to
the other areas of study because of its multi-purpose functions.
“Apart from the astronomy aspect of viewing the stars, the Digital
Dome offers technology that allows the viewer to be immersed in other
worlds, thanks to the 360-degree, screening techniques on the dome
of the building,” explained head of infrastructure Planning Graham Gouws.

The campus toilets say otherwise !!! Absolutely disgusting, sanitary pads , period blood , urine and human crap all over the floors and blocking the toilets!!! This what you get i suppose when the majority of the students dont pay fees and mess it up for the few who do !!
