Interesting answer and that is probably a big part of it. I'm in Adelaide and most of my friends have moved interstate for work. What was going on in Adelaide at that time with Certified Wise etc was very special. Maybe Adelaide also feel like we've already lead the way in that genre and pulled our weight, and don't want to go on producing knock offs of basically the same thing, but also find it hard to go in a different direction. Amazing how much was going on at that time really. Not only was it centred on Adelaide but my part of the Adelaide suburbs specifically.

Maybe there’s no popping artists getting noticed here because Sanchez and The Lesson as a platform is too busy promoting wombat, chillinit, Sydney drill shit, and only putting on Complete shows because that’s where the moneys at. Pick your fucking game up and pay attention to the scene around you and promote local dudes who are actually making good music even though they may not be the most profitable option to begin with
