Terrific! Brilliant!
Wow! Another thought provoking view of naval and national history by Professor Lambert. Thanks for posting.
In my view this period of British History is one of the most important for understanding where the world as at today. The Maritime Strategies of the British in relation to Empire are relecvant more so today thatn trhen. People in Government who shape policy in the western world MUST understand this. We in Canada have an uphill battle convincing successive governments who are mired in internal squabbles relative to the now and not the future of trade and maritime security. An extremely well thought-out, and presented, view of Britain’s’ naval legacy….
Thanks, Nathan. Another good one!

Amazing interview
Andrew Lambert about Napoleon and sea warfare: "He had a cunning plan... But he was Baldrick....."... LOL!!!!!... Brilliant and funny Blackadder reference...
"you need another 600 men to pull on the ropes..." That was a slip of the tongue I assume :-)
