I'm not sure, but I think Postman was getting pretty frustrated about technology by this time.. he winced when often asked, "do you mean we need religion again?" Religion is not the answer. Just love.

I don’t know about that. You could argue that it’s innately part of the human condition to want to worship/pedestalise something (if not our own existence or ideals). We’d have no reason to get out of bed otherwise.

This is why science and math education in America is pure garbage. No context. It's not just doing problem after problem, it's about the story of why math and science were created, their roles in society, and which if the two serves the other. You'll not learn that with current curriculums....

so the breakdown of faith in self is evident by our relationship with our self. have faith in the WHY. the HOW will appear to YOU.

I wish he were less verbose. It would be easier to receive a message if it were little more succinct.
