This felt like a tv series where longtime best friends finally track down their favorite professor who’s also been trying to track them down. They at-last get to ask him all their burning questions while he also gets to share all he’s discovered with those he’s always remembered as his most curious and ambitious students. Then adventure ensues!!! LOVE…. THIIIISSS!!!!

@HopDavid idk what's the source that you're quoting him from , but as for the second point , idk what he said but if he said : if more momentum needs to be imparted to the payload, the proportionate mass of fuel required increases exponentially. Then hes absolutely correct . I point this out just so that people know that even if he did say that , he might have misspoke and didn't even realise it . Also whats with all this foolish hate ? You seriously think an astrophysicist is "bad at math and science" ? lmao . Also most of his stuff has to do with enticing people into science. He isnt gonna sit calculating planetary orbits when his main audience are a bunch of scientifically illiterate people who watch his show in their spare time from work .

It's always great to see a scientist who isn't white. And I don't wanna seem racist. But I grew up not being able to identify with someone on that level. I'm Hispanic. I'm brown. But still. And that only drew me in, but what has kept me a fan is his personality and way of explaining to the world. I love it. And I just bought a book of his. The one prior to the recent one. I'm about to start reading it because I'd love to learn about the universe and I think his way of explaining (like a great teacher you love) will help get things across better. We shall see but either way, thank you for this interview. Great to see him back.

It is a stretch to call Neil a scientist. All his 1st author papers come from the 80s and 90s when he was in college. And he sucked while he was in college. U.T. flunked him and suggested he pursue a different career. And by Neil's admission he wasn't spending much time doing research. He was dancing, biking, wrestling and going to the gym a lot. If Tchiya Amet is to be believe he was also laying a lot of pipe and raping her. After U.T. he found a friendly advisor at Columbia. At Columbia they hired students to help Neil write his dissertation. Since Columbia Neil's thing has been flashy and often inaccurate pop science. Take what you learn from Tyson with a grain of salt. Because a lot of it is wrong.

Says nothing about other people doing his work for him. However, a Wikipedia article states: “Professor R. Michael Rich…obtained funding to support Tyson's doctoral research from NASA and the ARCS Foundation,[25] enabling Tyson to attend international meetings in Italy, Switzerland, Chile, and South Africa[23] and to *hire students to help him with data reduction.* [26] In the course of his thesis work, he observed using the 0.91 m telescope at the Cerro Tololo Inter-American Observatory in Chile, where he obtained images for the Calán/Tololo Supernova Survey[27][28][29] helping to further their work in establishing Type Ia supernovae as standard candles.” He was helped to reduce his data, not to write his dissertation. He admitted on stage that most of us would not be aware of why the people who brought their friends would dare to know why. Have you ever been told by an astrophysicist that it is impossible if under conditions that are narrated that 1. The next thing he said would be "impossible". He said a "thing". In my best baritone boom from the receiver's left and up I dared...demanded...him to literally step out of a bra by saying ~~@@~~ do it for real~! This is a proof of the limits of physics. In science you have to agree on facts but in arts you are able to make up your own facts when it comes to music or painting? State an hypothesis for the same Hypothesis: In the realm of science, the pursuit is centered around discovering and agreeing upon objective facts and principles through empirical evidence and the scientific method. In contrast, within the arts, particularly in areas like music and painting, there is a greater degree of creative license to craft subjective interpretations and emotions, thus allowing for a more flexible approach to "facts" that may not be bound by the same objectivity. The problem isn’t knowing what questions to ask. We have been asking questions since childhood. The problem is an indoctrinated system of assimilation that miss informs young humans into believing. Belief is a brain disease that causes irrational and illogical thinking. The remedy is to read more non-fiction. Dictionary. Encyclopedia. Put down the pseudoscience and mythology. Study linguistics. Upgrade your dialect. Upgrade your syntax. Compose your semantics logically. For example, we are our star. 21:46

We are native humans of planet earth. We do not associate ourselves by the color of our skin, because we come in a variety of shades. Native people call, pale face invaders, white, because of their lack of melanin. When native people observe the pale skin of the invaders, it is a reminder of what happened to them. When humans observe, planet moon, formally known as planet Luna, we observe what happened to their ancestors. Look it up or look up at it. Remember when you observe planet moon, you are observing sunlight. Reflecting off the surface of a demolished planet.

We are not asking you to think a certain way. We didn’t ask you to do anything. We suggest you read more nonfiction. The dictionary and the encyclopedia. We know groups of humans. Ignore the truth however, the truth still remains. Our star the sun is the truth.
