He does have the 'gift of gab' as my Mom would say - but, he has a very unique way of drawing the audience in AND keeping them engaged - a gifted teacher...

The Bible contains secret spiritual knowledge that can only be revealed though genuine personal efforts. It all starts in the heart. The inner work Jesus Christ taught teaches us things personally as we do them. There’s actually a secret set of spiritual milestones within our soul that correspond to points in the Bible. These spiritual milestones are extremely important and must be completed as an adult. That’s when it’s your personal choice to deal with your inner drama and own your own faith. Please do these four steps. They are the bare minimum amount of effort we’re expected our whole lives, the spiritual milestones I mentioned. They have an accumulative healing effort on your soul. As you do them you learn why the next is important. Forgive your parents, break down before Jesus Christ, ask for forgiveness, and read at least Genesis Mathew and one you chose yourself. Seriously, please trust me. Mean each one of these steps inside your heart and see what God reveals to you personally. Be genuine. It’s not difficult. There’s deep spiritual significance to each of these steps. The build on each other. You don’t get the right things out of the Bible unless you work though the inner healing of steps 1-3. Please trust me. No hate. Im trying to help you. The Bible is truth. Jesus Christ is the way truth and life.

Bill Nye has no doctorate in anything, a bachelor's degree in engineering, has never held a professorship in any field at any university, has never made his living conducting scientific research, and has never directed an internationally leading scientific research lab. Neil has all of these things, and he focuses on explaining things within his area of expertise. Bill Nye is a mile wide and an inch deep, and tries to explain topics from any area. Neil deGrasse Tyson and Bill Nye are nothing alike except that they both try to explain scientific concepts to the public in ways that they hope people without the formal education and background can understand. 🧠

This exactly. Tyson is an entertainer first. He desperately hangs onto his identity as a scientist because that identity is what validates his platform. The problem is that Tyson is not really much of a scientist. So any deeper question about the cutting edge of science just sees him flailing to maintain the illusion that he is an authority on the subject...which he clearly is not.
