I think he's abuse of laptops is a genius commentary of the modern internet age, reflecting the silent scream of the human nature trapped in a world of soulless technology. It's also pretty ironic that he's this genius super-hacker, yet he so clearly resents technology and subconsciously yearns for a simpler life. This is also clearly presented in his constant climbing of the same rock in an almost caveman-like manner. The repetitiveness of these scenes are clearly meant to represent his longing to free himself from the shackles of society and to also give up his role as an infamous super-hacker/genius, but no matter how hard he tries he cant bring himself to do this. The information he has uncovered with his godlike hacking abilities can't be unlearned, and instead of running away, he chooses to give a society another chance; to better it, instead of resenting it.
