"We always talk about supporting our troops, for most of us its a statement that begins and ends at our bumper sticker" That's the truest statement I've heard today.

"Sometimes yardwork grows a lot more than grasses." Good put.

What a patriot. What words can describe a neighbor looking after a soldier's son and keeping their home looking beautiful and the same time?

My situation was different growing up. My dad just didn't give a damn and my parents divorced. I had a friend whose father was more of a father to me than my dad every was and I still think of him often. It is important for any kid to have someone in their life who cares about them and is there for them. Even if their father is away serving and still loves his son.

What I want to see is the dads reaction to this video and how he feels when he get back from military

and 5= years later (especially as an older adult), that kid will remember and appreciate the neighbor a whole lot more for his kindness.

What an amazing human being. I know that you know what your time means to this little boy.

You’re a good man/neighbor. This kid will grow up to be a good man himself. It takes a village to raise a kid!

Dang that is awesome. I remember times going out and helping my mom with the yard then when the day came that she passed the lawn mowing on to me I thought "Man she said she would never allow anyone to touch her mower." Not even my older brother got to touch it. Sadly she has passed on now. I wish that kid was my neighbor. I could use the motivation.

One the road is the greatest thing ever. I love how he reports on such sweet and positive stories that we don’t get to see bc it’s always the negative.
