Teuri Island is found off the coast of Northern Hokkaido in the Sea of Japan.
It is the world’s biggest breeding ground for the seabird known as the rhinoceros auklet, and a variety of other seabirds including the Japanese cormorant, black-tailed gull, and the globally rare spectacled guillemot also breed here.
