NEHEKHARA: The Land of the Dead - Monsters & Creatures of the Tomb Kings - Warhammer Fantasy Lore
Фильм және анимация
What follows is a collection of works by the Doctor of Biology and Zoology of the University of Nuln, Steffan Hoffman. This time, we will travel to the heart of Nehekhara, the land of the dead, a place shrouded in darkness and mystery. A place chosen by the community with a poll that counted around eight thousand votes. Even though on the surface it may not appear so, Nehekhara is a place full of monsters, creatures that are always lurking over and under the hot sands of the desert, or constructs that are waiting in their eternal slumber for the perfect time to strike.

tomb kings may seem cold and indifferent towards the living but thats not always the case. a human was caught looting a nehekharan tomb for a cure to his sick and dying wife. when a tomb king questioned the human and found out the reason he was looting his tomb he said " i also once knew love" and let the man leave with the cure for his wife.

I love the way Steffan looks at the world. When do many only try to gather knowledge to gain power Steffan seems genuinely in awe of the world and the creatures that inhabit it.
This series is amazing! Steffan Hoffman, Doctor of Biology and Zoology of the University of Nuln is stealing my heart! I'm excited for that Badlands teaser at the end. Will he move to The Marshes of Madness to meet the monsters within? Delve into Deff Gorge? Creep through The Underway to catch a glimpse of collapsed Karaks? They all sound cool to me!

Nehekara rises from the sands! My favorite undead faction other than vampire counts. Khemrian war sphinxes are awesome! As a greenskins player, I love looting nehekara.

Steffan Hoffman=stepping off man. Clever name for a constantly traveling man.
Loving the narrator's voice
Nehekhara currently a barren wasteland devoid of life is because of Settra's obsession for immortality and cheat death instead of being proud of leaving behind a legacy that would last generations to come.

We can all agree that fantasy is so much more cooler than 40k lore wise. No hate for 40k btw but Warhammer Fantasy really captures grimness but grounded in its own sort of reality that is not not super insane like 40.

Well, well, well… if it isn’t my most modest friend Settra the Imperishable, the King of Kings, High King of Nehekhara, Khemrikara, Lord of the Earth, Monarch of the Sky, Ruler of the Four Horizons, Mighty Lion of the Infinite Desert, Great Hawk of the Heavens, Majestic Emperor of the Shifting Sands, Eternal Sovereign of Khemri's legions, and so much more…
So wait, they were not Human?

If I look south of Nehekara I am always dissapointed how empty it is. The real continent houses so many rich and interesting empires, kingdoms and realms. Like Ethiopia one of the oldest christian nations period (even before Rome converted) and one of the potential housing spaces of the Ark of the Covenant. Or Mali, a westafrican empire and once the richest nation period, whose king ruined the middle eastern economy through charity. Next to creating THE western centre of islamic education with their universities. Or the Swahili city states who traded via the indo-pacific sea trade all up to China and Korea. Or the Kongolesians, who had cities rivaling europeans once in size around the 16th century. Or the Yoruba, who fought in styles similar to roman legions. Or the Hausa. Or the Akan. Or the Dahomey with their amazon regiments. Or or or. Each of these nations could have a highly interesting warhammer counterpart. But no, the continent is just an empty space in the setting. Oh and Warhammer Pygmies but screw them...

I mean there are generic Lizardmen factions that aren’t nearly as important as the Lustrian Ones, and Araby which is a Middle East and North African Stew.
@hangebza6625
Жыл бұрын
@@InquisitorThomas as you said, the Southland Lizardmen are non-name beings. We know next to nothing about them, except they have less saurus and more horned ones. Where I was going was that the Southlands in general need more unique stuff, especially the southern areas. Araby and nehekhara are ok to good, but two thirds are just fillled with nothing of significance or interest. Despite so many intrueging things in its real world counterpart. An issue plagueing Naggaroth and Lustria too to be honest. Kinda funny how the far east with all its lore-only entities, prior to TWW3, is the most well established region after the Old World.
So good!! Thank you
I think in books about Nagash Ushebti and Hierotitans were living creatures. They served the rulers of dinasties as a sign that they are favored by gods. In the last book even stated that ving multiple KINDS of ushebti is a privilege of the so called city of the gods where the pack with them was made. Do...not exactly statues. The head and bones are from dead Ushebti...

Also. most constructs were made in the war AGAINS Nagash. After he was killed and his great spell brought back the souls to all Nehekhara, they simply took over what was left. Even his Piramid! It's a pity that there's only 3 books about him, the man single handetly made a new WIND OF MAGIC, by taking and changing Slaaneshi rites of pain!
hello BookofChoyer "The Age of Sigmar saga" is AMAZING I recommend Warhammer end times the return of nagash on audible been listening to it over and over again its so rich in Lore and characters Neferata is a favourite
