IT WORKS!! ...as of 12-14-14. Pretty much what I said the other day, I had to delete the "game data utility" file BEFORE I started the game itself. From there, started it up, went through all the prompts (stay offline, do NOT DL the patch they sugguest, etc.) Went to the MyCareer file (and yes, it was after the Rookie Showcase game.) It may take some patience with that 1st game, but I lowered the minutes down to 5 per quarter. Luckily, I had a fairly easy task, succeeded before halftime, and QUIT the ballgame right when the 2nd half inbound started. I went in with 0 SP, and I was in the negative after my halftime quitting game. (Quit, do NOT save and quit, just QUIT.) I was skeptical, but it worked. Bought a bunch of animations I may never use, and I'm like -200,000 SP right now...and I'm ok with that.

Here's my gripe with this though, you say you quit the rookie showcase and was able to buy things for your MyPlayer but how? It takes you back to the main menu and you can't go back to myplayer because it'll start you back in the showcase.

I GOT IT FINALLY!!!! Went into the game with 3 points (because I couldn't get it down to zero), played, got my DG, played like a second of the third, exited, and ended up with -47. I'm playing on Xbox. A key to doing this is to go to your storage, and clear your cache (that removes your patch), also, you must be offline. It worked for me!

Hey when i clear my system cathe when i go to the game it asks me for a update and if i dont get the update when I quit then it will freeze i dont know what to do please help

cookie south Hey man, first off you shouldn't have the latest update for the game. If you do just delete it like he does in the video. Now because you don't have the latest update you'd have to play offline of course. Then before you start a game in mycareer, (you can start a new career if you want, i tried both new and old and it worked) spend skill points on your player till you have at least 10 or lower SP. Start up the game and you've got to get a dynamic goal before half-time, you also have to complete it before then as well. When all that is done by half-time, as soon as the 3rd quarter starts whether you're on the bench or not, pause the game and exit without saving like he did in the video. You should have negative SP now. Sorry for the late reply, i hope i was able to help in anyway. Good luck mate, cheers.

How'd u get it to work it won't for me

When I tried this, I was unable to "delete" the file in the dashboard menu. The delete action is un-selectable, if that makes sense. What I'm gonna do is quit the game all together, delete the file, reenter the game, NOT download the patch upgrade when it asks, and I'll try from there. I see comments on this are fairly recent, so I'm hoping here on 12-13-14 it still works.

Play a little of the 3rd quarter and try to have under 1,000 skill points and it should work fine (this is my other account)

Hit start then progress and scroll down and it should be at the very bottom and dynamic goal will pop up while you are playing

I just did this and it did not work. I GAINED points. Dynamic goal was to not commit a turnover in the first quarter, so I didn't. Played through the second, got to halftime, quit, and ended up with 100 MORE points. What am I doing wrong?

I am on xbox so im not sure what additional data is, so i deleted my online data, nba2k13, and settings memory, from my storage device just to make sure i didnt have the update/patch, i went into a game with 0 sp, left at 4:30 seconds into the 3quarter after completing the d.g and still nothing happened...what am i doing wrong?
