you are not summoning this in dragon link, it is only interesting in branded except if you summon it on your turn because it will negate your own end turn effects

​@@floflo1645I see branded players talking about it. Don't make it turn 1. Make this thing turn 2 or later. I'm sure there will be decks it's good and might auto win against some random hands turn 1 but imagine 3 omni negate in a simplified game state. This might win the game vs shot gunning it turn 1 with no follow up Do your regular branded stuff, have this as a fall back.

​@floflo1645 What other deck can consistently put out LIGHT and DARK Dragons in such consistent manner? Dragonlink thanks to the Chaos Engine being one of the cores it uses Branded can use it, yes, but they don't really need him that much. Not to mention that is harder to get this out in Branded due to the fact that it is a Level 10

Im definitely going to see if I can make this work with my galaxy horus tachyon build. I already can get double tachyon traps with 2 boss monsters while looping with hapi if needed. Adding this in there too sounds like the lines would be sick.

Since this doesn't seem that good, you could maybe jam Armed Dragons in there since they have some synergy with some of the new cards (namely the Knight and the Quick Play).

Can you equip anything to that light and darkness fusion dragon to keep its att points up for more negates or will it just negate your card effects ?

Just ordered the Japanese version of the card, my favorite artwork to date. Hope there are some new support/fusion card or structure deck released for Light and Darkness dragon to make it competitive in the North American format similar to Blue Eyes. Good concept. All the best. 🤍🖤💜

I WANT these to be good, but this wasn't the best showing for them. If you could get something with a passive effect up, like Thunder Dragon Colossus, that would make LADD Lords effect go much further. I think it would be worth checking into trying this in a Blue-Eyes variant, using Dragon Shrine to drop materials into the GY for Dragon's Mirror or any of the revival cards that dragons have. With Blue-Eyes, you could have this as a middle boss monster with Dragon Magia Master as a main boss, and let Magia negate whatever LADD can't. There's also got to be better ways to reset LADD Lords stats to get off more negates. 3 just isn't enough, since you can't choose what it negates. There is of course Book of Moon/Eclipse that could reset its stats, but without something to immediately flip it back up, you're not really helping yourself. Making this good is going to be a head scratcher

3 negates is FAIR for an extra deck card that can be accessed at any time, and doesn't blow up your board like the original LADD. It's not meant to "be enough" to auto win you the game. That's the point of playing a card game. INTERACTION. It slows down the opponent, and make things difficult for them but no card in any competitive card came should just drop a card and win on the spot. Turn 1, eh. Maybe. Or be a good follow up card. Wait until simplified gamestate and 3 omni negates might actual close the game out or cripple your opponents comeback.

@@RyanTheLion335 I also wonder how this would work with Reverse Trap. The best-case scenario is that the Fusion would go up from 400 to 6400 for a turn when you use it, before going back down at the end of the turn... but I don't know what would happen when it actually starts negating stuff. I haven't seen that interaction, but Reverse Trap is searchable, so that might be much better than Chalice depending on how it works.

@@infinityfactorial Reverse Trap was errata'd at some point. From the time of activation onward for the rest of the turn, any effect that subtracts or adds attack or defense points is reversed. It doesn't work on LADD because it lowers its stats as a cost and not an effect

Theoretically. The LaDD Fusion Monster's effect upon being destroyed can SS Divine Dragon Lord Felgdrand from the GY which can be used as one of the Fusion Materials

Doesn't work. He can only negate IF he loses ATK/DEF. The wording is "and if it does, negate the activation." No debuff, no negate.
