The "please don't leave me like this" hit me hard because thats basically what my mom probably thought my sister wanted after she hung herself. My mom cut her down after hours of hanging there. Hangings are a lot more gruesome than movies and shows make them out to be. Body discolored, eyes bloodshot and rolled back, drooling, etc. It was even more depressing because when we found her, her legs were still against the thing she used to jump off to hang herself (a trailer). So it looked like she might have not wanted to go through with it In the end. Suicide is rough on everyone. If you have suicidal thoughts know that people care about you. My sister would have been shocked that like over 1000 people showed up for her memorial.

I think one of the hardest things to do in writing is make the most hated character in the entire show become one of the most favourited and loved. Not only that, the acting plays a massive part too. 👏
@Gameprojordan

It's not that hard, you just gotta give them nuance. It's extremely easy to just make the villain a cartoonified evil bad guy that does evil things for the sake of being evil, but that makes a very 1 dimensional character with no way to redeem themselves

This scene explains why Negan fell so hard‚ but at the same time it doesn't justify anything he has done. In the end he was a bad guy‚ but now he is trying to redeem himself and make up for all the hell he caused. Not a hero‚ just a bad guy no longer wishing to play the villain

How he stayed in character when his actual wife was acting like a crazed zombie.. I'd have been in fits of laughter
I read something that said this really messed with him, cause you know that’s his real wife they said afterwards she had to console him cause it was just to surreal for him and he was literal in shock for a while …

I was kinda hoping Negan would have taken over again ( still redeemed) but Maggie trying kill him but him beating her and the Commonwealth. Then when the series ends Rick returns seeing Negan in charge. At first it would break him because he wouldn't see anyone from Daryl, Michonne Maggie or Carol. Then Judith explains what has happened. This just proves the fact that when a good man has everything he ever cared for ripped away from him without nothing that he was able to do to stop it overtime that man will slowly become bitter and sour and hateful and you’ll slowly watch a hero turn into a villain this is how most villains or create it they weren’t born this way they were made
This is one of the best episodes in the entire show
Ain’t cried in years, and this almost got me. Fucking heart wrenching to think that’s his actual wife and he was basically in shock for awhile after this.
This was the saddest show of the final season10 series “here’s Negan “.
Such a depressing back story for the character
De una persona tranquila y amorosa salió uno de los mejores asesinos
"villains always suffer to become that" -me
Negan was never a villain he was just a broken hero
This is awesome and sad
the heart on the door just make it so much sader, this was the time negan broke
if you’ve been in love you can somewhat understand just a bit of how much pain negan is feeling in this moment, and i imagine that kind of pain can really change a person
I've never felt so bad for a TV character in my life, I cried my eyes out during this scene
He's just hero thats just broken 💔
I hope all the characters find out of his past.. because after understanding what happened to him I don't hate him anymore. He was and still I'd a broken man
I like Negan.. I’m sad that had to happen
That was so heartbreaking. It's no excuse for his actions later on, but it does explain why he went a little mad.

Negan isn’t a villian, he is an antagonist. People don’t get that
Letting it be his actual wife probably made it easier for this AMAZING actor to portray real pain. And from the bar story where he wanted to play their song for his wife, he beat a man almost to death. And now his pain turns to anger at the whole world which is why he was so ruthless. He wanted to destroy everything and especially his past self at the same time so he could try to forget.
There are no villains. Only survivors.
I just noticed that his wife looks like alpha so that is why I think negan liked alpha so much
In a zombie outbreak, I think the hardest thing to do is end a family/love one. If my niece or family ever turns, omg I'll cry my heart out after.

After many zombie movies that I watched, we will never survive if we become a normal good person. Selfish, Rational, and Luck are required in order to survive. Its kinda sad to think of it tbh. The world will never be the same again.
This version of Negan is why I believe he only did what he did because he felt he had to in order to survive.
Honestly I think this was the saddest part of the whole show.

Some of the fearless men are just guys that's too heart broken to live.
Damn I never thought a scene with a zombie would be heart wrenching but damn Jeffery DM is a phenomenal actor, I’m really glad they leave room to somewhat empathize and understand why he’s broken and psychotic Edit: that last sentence sounds sick lmao but I mean from a writing perspective it was well done
Negan didn't deserve her, but she still stood by him I'm not cutting onions you are!
If only rick and neegan can put their balls aside and just work together
This is the moment Negan Smith becomes Heisenberg
him before Lucille took her life... his eyes and everything else was so soft. Then as a villain, he looked cold and now he looks guilty.
If this happened to my wife I would turn into what negan did too.
My mom was dying when this scene aired and I watched it before her. I watched it again with her and hugged her the whole episode. Rip mom ❤️
I hate negan as a villain, but I can't deny his story is one of the best for me.
That's what you get for Glen!
This scene was more sad than Glenn and Abrahams death
omg I cried like 3 times watching the negan episode
The fact that makes it more haunting for JDM is that it is his wife in real life
Favorite character in the entire show.
Genuinely one of the best episodes of the walking dead.
this episode hits different.
So she actually killed herself… if only she had waited for him… she lost hope and just decided to kill herself that shit right there hits deep. I remember watching that episode and cried my eyes out… It was as if there was a time bomb and they both weren’t meant to make it on time. Very unfortunate. Just imagine had she waited for him? She would’ve been alive and Negan wouldn’t have had to become this heartless guy killing people. Everyone would’ve just been fine
