Everyone was angry at Negan during this episode, but he legitimately did Rick a real solid, by not just bring home Carl safely after he went on a stupid suicide mission, then he got rid of a guy who was going to betray Rick, and to top it all off, he did in fact feed Carl some nice Spaghetti. Negan did actually had respectful inclination towards Rick as his own group leader despite their issues. It is complicated mentally , emotionally and intelligently when comes to Negan that he shows towards Rick and his son Carl. Spencer is weak unrespectful dishonorable little man who was one that deserved to be one dead not Rick. Negan had known Rick and Carl could be liked himself if pushed too far and it was attractiveness of idea of seen how far he could push them for himself. Part of Negan's own hidden humanity self wanted Rick or Carl to take himself out to be with his dead wife finally.

Spencer reminded Negan of one of those greedy heist teamates in GTA Online that demand 30% when they didn't help.

Negan liked and respected Rick bc he knew what kind of person he was and what he was capable of as leader, survivor and father, but at the same time, he was jealous of Rick's life, that's why he tried to spend more time with his kids. In conclusion, Rick was everything that Negan failed to be, that's why he envious him, also like him tho. It's a completely mix of feelings Negan has towards Rick. it's complicated 😅

Probably the biggest part of that later came from watching his group’s interview videos. At the very least one of the group would have mentioned them being captured at Terminus and them escaping. But definitely Rick’s video where he told Diana straight and was correct that they should have kept their gate closed and be extremely wary of who they allow to enter. I've always wondered why the group never went to mount weather?.

It was very unrealistic though. The way he treated the people working for him, he would’ve been killed by his own people a long time ago if this was real. Telling and training the people who you treat like shit to say and believe that they’re “ALL Negan” isn’t very smart either.🤔

Negan and Rick were as close to the Joker and Batman as you can get. Rick despised Negan with his entire being but couldn’t bring himself to kill him, and Negan wanted Rick to win because he needed him to give his life a purpose. Very artistic storytelling, Negan is probably the most solid antagonist I’ve seen in most shows.

This is the most incorrect take on the walking dead I've ever seen LOL. If it wasn't for Carl's last words, Rick would've had no problem killing Negan. He only didn't because he realized Carl was right about peace being the only way forward. And Negan definiteley didnt want Rick to win. Negan was just a logical guy who thought he could break everyones spirits by destroying their morale instead of killing them directly. Negan was playing the long game.

Negan was such a badass character, but not killing him off killed the pacing of the show and muddies the whole groups morales. The whole show has been about them becoming more and more savage, and then they meet THE savage and decide “he deserves forgiveness” it’s just wild.

@@theroguemaven could’ve just done it differently. I’m clearly not in the majority tho. Lotta people like Negan and even went as far as to forgive him and vilify Maggie for not doing so. I just couldn’t. It makes scenes with him feel awkward more than tense. They’ve killed people for taking a little extra food but forgive the guy burning people alive. But that’s just me. Show was still enjoyable.

You missed the point..... Carl is the Reason Why Rick didn't kill Negan....to make an example .....In order to get back to a World of Peace you have to do what is difficult...to forgive the unforgivable and to rehabilitate a Lost Soul ..... It had to be Negan....He was irredeemable.... Go Back and watch The episode when Carl Died and leaves the notes......

@@edwinnavedojr just got done with that episode not too long ago, well said. I stopped watching the show when Rick left a while back, but now I’m rewatching it and thinking about watching it all, just hard to watch without rick and a lot of my other favorites
