had the same problem i fixed it by opening the flash a spark was arcing by the bulb so i put some gorilla glue to insulate the arcing and its working better than when i first got it, PS i left the batteries out and switched on for a day to discharge any current before handling the circuit board

Zainab Moosa Best that I can tell, the thyristor which triggers the flash is broken. Flash charges, zooms, etc. No flash with camera or button.

SCR, not thyristor. Could be bulb too. I will take mine apart when I get the chance.

I got this flash! It flashes ok but the zoom function is stuck at 14mm. Piece of shit
