Sir yesterday I got pricked by syringe jo direct patient ko prick nhi kiya tha , arterial line se blood draw kiya tha ,sample bottle me daalne k baad recapping karte time prick hua tha And Patient ka HIV , HBC,Hcv sab negative hai . And yesterday only I took tetanus shot also , do I still need to worry sir ??

No. Patient is already screened and you've taken tetanus vaccination. There is no risk. But be careful for next time.

Agar needle ka source pata nahi hai to ap ye maan kar chaliye ki needle kisi positive patient ki use kari hui hai and follow post exposure prophylaxis. In our field, we take no risks.

I got needle stick injury with used lencet of hep c + patient . But her virus load is now reduced she had taken her 2 months couse . How many percent chances are of getting hep c. And how many times i need to do test? But lencet got little in finger and a very less blood came and i forced blood to come please reply

You should not have forced the blood to come out. It increases the chances of infection. You need to get tested at 6,12,24 weeks. Although the viral load is low but still might transmit the infection. Insha'Allah iyour tests will be negative. Be careful from next time.

Not only HIV, we have to check for HCV & Hep B also. Mostly we don't have report kf screening of patients. If there is a negative report then well and good. If not then we follow the post exposure protocol

Actually skin cut se ye virus infection faela sakta hai. Steroil lagana kaam kar sakta hai but best option hai gloves pehne taki risk na rahe

Use injection agar road side me tha to most probably it was used for drugs and this contains high risk of infection. Ap sabse pehle to ek Injection Tetvac lagwa lijiye. And then contact a nearby physician for further advice. Best prophylaxis is to take precautionary dose of anti retroviral medicine. But do not take them without doctor advice.

@@MedicoFreak sir wo to nikal gya tha usse main nhi janta...dr ne blood sample b liya tha but wo lab wale kehte ki fresh blood leke aao...aur wo Banda nhi tha tb wha fresh blood le nhi paya...baaki apna 3 din baad maine HIV test krvaya tha non reactive tha..and mjhe after 4 weeks loose Motion and abdominal pain ho rha h and my dr is saying ki it is omicron...to aap kuch advise kro

No. New needle is sterile. Only risk is Tetanus. So getting a Tetanus vaccine is all you need. Nothing else needed.

Agar patient ko prick hui hai needle to Chances hai infection ke because you can't see the virus or blood cells with naked eyes. Dikhega nahi but ho sakta h present ho needle pe after being pricked to the patient.
