Hi Nancy, thanks for your interest! I do not know where you are from but you can order the wool from Etsy. I am using wool batts and they are from an ETSY shop called Inmezi from Latvia. If you are from the US, there are lots of American wool seller in Etsy. If you are from Europe, you can order from European Etsy sellers. I ordered from Latvia since when I first started needle felting 10 years ago. If you are in the UK, Heidifeathers from ETSY UK have lots of wool choices too. You can also order from other website beside ETSY like World of Wool and Wingham Wool, both from UK. or you can just google it under "needle felting wool" . As for the base I am using, it's wool felt that I made myself. I will do a video on how I make it one day. But you can always use fabric like cotton, linen, pre-felt or any non elastic fabric.
