This was really helpful! I've seen lots of people show similar armature-making, but they haven't given explanations of the twisting and sizing as well as you did. Thanks so much!

I am so bad at conversions. In USA what gauge is 1.25 mm thick? I'm looking at a wire conversion chart and it says 1.024mm is 18 gauge. The closest I see on the chart to to the 0.6 you use is 0.6426mm, which is equivalent to 22 gauge wire. There are different types and that makes a difference in how pliable they are. 22 gauge Aluminum is more pliable (and less sturdy) as steel 20 gauge wire.

Hello! I'm afraid I'm not so great at conversions myself 🙈. But the gauges you mentioned do sound correct. The body and legs should be strong/sturdy. The smaller wire (0.6) is just used for the toes and tail and isn't a strong as the other wire. 🥰
