I like the neatness of the acrylic thread and I'm worried dt the cotton thread would be too tight on the hair especially if you are making this style on a struggling one year old like me. So I would say when doing thick portions of hair, use acrylic thread. Acrylic thread might overwhelm thin portions of hair so cotton thread would be better for these. I also think take down would be easier with acrylic thread. Cotton thread might get lost in old messy hair. Thanks for this tutorial. I hope I feel bold enough to try this style soon

Oh wauw!! Where does this originste from? I've never seen it before
This is amazing! I’m just learning of these technique. What happens if your thread runs out in the middle of a cornrow? How do you continue without seeing a seam in the braid?

Leave a little longer than 5 inches thread and tuck it in with the hair, and start a new thread but go over a few stitches to maintain the neatness. I hope that answers you 😘

Wish I could find someone in my area who does this style as a great protective style. Apparently not many people do not do this method in the USA???
E molto bello , soltanto il capello soffoca così ! E per quanto tempo va lasciato un capello pettinato così ?
Nice one my dear 😘
So cute. I love the style....acrylic looks nicer
I like the cotton thread. How long did it last? Have you considered using gel to help keep it neat? Just learning about this method so I enjoyed this video. Can you do a take down video with this thread?

I wonder what it would look like with a color thread that doesn't match the natural hair color. Like a bright red or blue for fun.
I have a question can I combined both threads and get the longevity together with the neatness? I'm looking forward to your answer because I'm very excited to try this method. Thank you for this video

Hey Kezia, I’d say you can experiment with it, however, you need to pay close attention to how much you tighten the cotton one, because it gets really tight! For the length of time I had the cotton one on for my daughter, her ashes were intact because I did not pull. So you can try that.. let us know how it goes
Use some jam inbetween the parts after you are done to help it looks more neat and then tie it down with a satin scarf.
Very nice
My (African) daughter has 4C hair and I think this would be great for her! What do you do to prep the hair and make it easier to part and thread? I struggle to part my daughter's hair, unless it is soaking wet and full of conditioner. Thank you for your wonderful video!

Thank you Sherie, and congrats with the work you are doing with your daughters hair, it does take patience.. I have along the way collected tricks that work, especially a mixture of certain products that are my staples. If you watch especially my latest “wash day” video I have briefly talked about that mixture that I use to moisturize, I have talked about it in most wash day videos. If you have more questions, feel free to ask as I have raised a kinky daughter as well.. and you are right, this style is perfect for kids, especially those with 4c hair as it is painless

Will it be better to use a curved needle? I use a curved needle for sew-ins, but it may be good to use for this style too?

Nice
Cool
Braid at the frontal to start before using the fine thread. It's just our opinion I would stay with the yarn. If I were to us the fine thread it would be with the older person. But I still would not sart too close to the frontal.

Black people, we are just magically talented. Isn’t cotton bad for the hair??!! This looks so easier than hand braiding. This is very beautiful.

Thanks you goddess 😍😍 Cotton is more drying and could be too tight for the hair, which could cause breakage.. so I prefer the acrylic
I love both ways I just need to try it myself or find someone who can execute this 🤔

Right!! The cotton one is so neat and lasts longer (while still neat) but the acrylic is more gentle to the skin
Its very nice but I would have fear in time for removal, likely to be hard
It's real nice but try out those thread cornrows to do weave
Do this put a lot on tension on your edges?

You’ll be surprised how soft it is on her edges.. the yarn just holds all the hair better, giving an impression that it’s pulled tight, but it’s not.. if I was pulling, you would have seen it on her face.. watch my take down video to see how to effectively take them out..
