This game is my childhood, I played this when I was 8 or 9 on my PC. This game was so good for its time, I loved blur, gran turismo 4, test drive unlimited, driver San Fransisco and grid too.

im 14 years old, and i completed U1 , U2 and MW. I started with U1 because i played it in the PS2 when i was 5, and i still have the need for speed.

Try speed running this game by completing it as fast as you can. May be more fun that way. 😉

I was ranked 4 on xbox live online leaderboards for a time, beat the number 2 guy in a race. I also discovered a missing boundary in one of the online racing levels which opened access to the entire map online. I loved this game and the carbon fiber bmw m5 was my car of choice.

@@jamie2529 yea I believe. It was after a really sharp turn . One of the boundaries is just gone and let's you drive everywhere. I honestly can't remember which race it was. But I could probably find it if I ever played the game again.

I've often wondered could the sprint and speedtrap events be "lap glitched" to turn off the traffic even though there are no laps to glitch out?

Well, not sure if anyone cares about it, but about the police despawning if you're not in pursuit at the end of the race, it might just be a case programmer didn't think about. It's frequent in coding to have a global function to the thing you want to do several times with just one or two things completed. So, maybe they just have a generic "Return to free roam" code where they just set you in free roam with the coordinates on the map of where the race ends. And, I guess they might have a code in place that would despawn police cars too close to you for when you would return to free roam from your hideout, I don't know if it ever happened to someone to literally have a police car in their face when they exit the hideout. If it literally never happened, they might be using the same code for when you finish a race (if you're not already in a police chase) TLDR: IF there is never a cop nearby when you leave your hideout or a shop, the game might be using the same code and making sure there are no police too close to you at the end of a race if there is not already a cop chase going on. Probably to avoid having a cop chase literally as you go out. This could explain why the possible soft lock of cop + SMS would "have a check" but not speedtrap + SMS

In the second race she very often get´s confused whether she wants to go right or left when the road splits at the gas station which results in her crashing into the wall (but more towards the left road) so she turns around and actually drives backwards a few meters to take the right road. It happened always on PS2 but I was still surpirsed that the exact same thing also happened when I played the game on PC the first time

I loved this game growing up.. but now as an adult, the lack of civilians in the town is off-putting.

Most racing games don't have them, it's just not necessary and doesn't add a whole lot to the game whilst costing you performance because in this case the game was running on a mere xbox 360
