The lantern looks like a winner. Myself, I have found that the cooler doesn't work for me. My road trip was from Florida to South Dakota in the summer. I felt like I was constantly buying ice. I went for an Iceco 45L cooler fridge and a small power station with a 100 watt solar panel. Bins are the only way to go when it comes to organization! Otherwise, the car becomes a mess! Plus, I find it easy to have certain items stay in the car while others go in the tent. These help me separate them out and I don't have to unload more than I need to. Thanks for the tips!

Great list! I loved the point you made about your clear bins. I've been debating replacing my black bins and you just made me feel better about my decision. I'm not crazy for wanting to see in the bins to save time/effort.

Ha ha you're not crazy! I don't know if it's age or just having "all the things" with me. It honestly saves me a lot of time and frustration when they are all clear!

Hi, regarding the cooler. I found these to be too heavy to lift even empty and too expensive. I purchased an actual refrigerator/freezer that I charge off my Jackery 300 while I'm driving. My SetPower refrigerator from Amazon was about the same price and weighs less I believe, though still not a light item. It was an absolute game-changer for my road trips. No more ice and I can take my creamer, salads, meats etc. Uses very minimal amount of power too. I tend to camp in the Fall with my dog to avoid the heat and I don't even need to have it running overnight in cooler weather. For summer, you may want a larger battery.

Thanks for this! At one point I had bought something similar but it required power. I kept it plugged in using the cigarette lighter jack in the back. It was just too small in the end and didn’t keep things cold without being plugged in either in the car or in a hotel, etc. I am glad you have something better with the battery! It’s true these coolers are on the heavy side though the Igloo is less cumbersome than others. Happy road tripping!

If you compare costco products with themselves online costco will always win. However if you compare it with other products in the category often they will be a better value for money. For example: 1. NEBO Slyde King Flashlight on amazon is a better product (and more expensive) then the flashlight you are buying. 2. Consciot camping lantern is a better. The Duracell's solar panel is a gimmick, it has no red light mode which is a vital at night, and the double Ds option is pointless. It is a product made form someone who will be away from civilizations for weeks and yet never be outside when the sun sets. The Consciot is cheaper and simply a better product. This is also why the Duracell lantern isn't really sold anywhere outside of the dead stock costco is trying to move. I am a HUGE fan of costco, some of there outdoor gear is fantastic. But sometimes big brands will dump there dead stock on costco knowing the fandom will buy it.
