I listened to this album for 18 years and never saw them live or even recorded. Man I was shook when I finally saw video and realized that the lead guitarist is also the vocalist. This is peak tech death and feels like bands have been attempting to sound kinda like for this for a long time. The riffs are just to melodic and catchy while still being brutal. The solos are so singable. Drums, well you know, phantasmal.

You should really just go through the whole 'Epitaph' album. It's one of a kind.

Oh, great suggestion. In death metal, there is before Necrophagist, and there is after Necrophagist. Highly recommend a deep dive on the album as a whole. It is a masterpiece. I feel lucky to have seen them live many times.

Necrophagust are pioneers of this sound and songwriting but sadly many still don't know about their magnitude of impact on death metal.

For me, the main beauty of necrophagist always came in their melodic solos. Yes, the riffing is complicated, the lyrics brutal and the speed is unrelenting, but listening to the solo in Fermented Offal Discharge, honestly, changed my life. The first time I heard it, it was so dramatic and shocking, it took my breath away. Listen to the song, and see how the beauty of the solo contrasts with the brutality of the riffing.

Great reaction 👍 if you want more bass stuff, check out the song 'Only Ash Remains' but if you want to see something that is out of this World listen to 'Fermented Offal Discharge', this song and the album as a whole changed the landscape of death metal and spearheaded the modern genre of technical death metal. @@neonskepetunije This isn't too big of a task either considering the album is only 33 minutes long. The whole Necrophagist catalog is like an hour long lol. They only released two albums, but these guys were 'THE' tech death band of their time and definitely left their mark.

I have some songs in mind that I would like to recommend to you, I think you will like them a lot! 1) "The IVth Crusade" by the band Bolt Thrower. 2) "Heartwork" by the band Carcass 3) "Where the Slime live" or another song called "God of Emptiness" by the band Morbid Angel 4) "Decimate the weak" by the band Winds Of Plague I hope you see this comment and enjoy these songs also your channel is awesome!

KONAČNO!!! Necrophagist su ipak nešto posebno u technical death metalu, institucija poput Death. I sve to sa samo 2 izdata albuma, teško da će ih iko nadmašiti u muziciranju. I nadam se da ćeš konačno reagovati na Gavranovi - Crni ep:Pjevanija prva. Do sada je bilo bez uspeha za mene. 🙂
