Necrophagist (feat. Marco Minnemann) - Live at Summer Slaughter 2007 (Proshot - 4K AI upscaled)

Музыка

Probably the best sounding live recording of this band. The upscaling is a bit too much here and there, creating a cartoonish look. This because the upscale is based on a very low resolution (672X368) rip of the original DVD.
Setlist:
The Stillborn One
Ignominious And Pale
Drum Solo

    I was watching a livestream of Travis Ryan from Cattle Decapitation and I asked him if he knew what happened with this band and he told me a story of the time he met Muhammed backstage after a show and he told Travis that a new album was almost finished and they would release it soon. That was before they disbanded, though. That means there's a bunch of unreleased Necro songs that will probably never see the light of day since Muhammed is making way more money in the automobile industry now. Sad.

    @@Enbix Making money has nothing to do with Necrophagist's music tho. I mean... if Muhammed was tempted by money he wouldn't have chosen to play tech death. I guess his passion for music died... I agree with your overall point, though I wouldn't detract from Necrophagist at all if they did use in-ear monitors, it's the exact sort of music that benefits from having a click track. Staying perfectly in sync with the rest of the band onstage is not trivial when sound is not instantaneous, there's always a bit of latency between what your bandmates are playing and what you're hearing, however slight. And well, Necrophagist musically and aesthetically is about as clinical and precise as it gets, having that cue to be as rhythmically accurate as possible fits the music perfectly.

  • @vvessel_

    @vvessel_

    @Alexander_Tronstad "better" lol It's almost like Necro had the iterative works of Schuldiner and Masvidal to build off of. If Muhammad was born in juxtaposition with Chuck and Paul, the result would be the same. It's not a competition, it's a long shared journey of different tastes and ideas.

    Was lucky enough to see Necrophagist live twice. Got some terrible quality footage on my channel from the first time, 2nd time I saw them at the House of Blues in LA for this Summer Slaughter tour. Definitely 2 of the most memorable shows ever.
