Necromunda Bulkhead Terrain - Platforms and Gantries
Last week I showed you the bulkheads used for the Necromunda terrain and gave a little demo on how they work, so this week it's the turn of the platforms and gantries that bale the table work.
These are the bits that you play on and also the bits that shape the battlefield.

This set is absolutely fantastic. Id love to see a video where you just showcase a bunch of your favourite layouts to really highlight the modularity.

Thanks very much! I love that idea! I'm working on a way to use it as a sump sea set up too 😁
This is super inspiring stuff! I'm very keen to give this a go myself 🤙
Great to see it all broken down, makes you realise just how impressive the engineering really is. Awesome work mate.

It is good to have you back on KZread (and in general that you feel better) But not only that, just as I after 20+ years decided that now is the time to paint my necromunda terrain, you start a serie about how to do it and how cool it can be. But now I can no longer live with only the cardboard platforms (\o/ a now building project) But I hope you are going more in details about how you painted the top of the platforms in a future video, because it looks really good and you made it sounds "easy"

Hi, any chance you could do a video where you demo making some of these? They look great!
It would be great if you couldshare your template dimensions/measurements for these so others can use your formula, it's clearly been very well though out

That could be something to put on my site! Thanks for the idea! 😁
nice work, Craig. How do these stand up (literally and figuratively) to metal models?
@kiblams

Due to the side bracing they are very sturdy! Metal models are no issue. Thanks very much! 😁
How did you do those panels on the styrene?
Links to how you make your repeated floor pattern tiles would be useful and not so much a show and tell of what you did. It is very impressive and the idea is well thought out but I have not seen anything being built only the results. It would be especially interesting to see how you build and repeat the tilling texture consistently without obvious cut makrs.

They're layers of thin plasticard cut with my plotter machine. It's slow and temprimental, but it can make repeat shapes very well.

@@kiblams Great video! What is the plotter machine you use? I am looking into options to make some similar stuff and trying to find a good plotter, but it's hard to tell which will deal with plasticard as most plotters are for vinal. A make and model name would be really appreciated. Unless you have a video explaining all this somewhere?
