Really like that it has a story, and an end goal of fighting the final boss.

Necromancy is how Jagex is approaching a combat rework without actually reworking combat. Excited to see how its received, and hoping to see the rest of combat receive a refresh to line up with Necromancy's playstyle.

Necro going to 120 and this talent system seems like them laying the groundwork for 120 of all styles and how they want to update them Talents would be a interesting way to combat switchscape for instance for melee

The funny thing is that we as former world guardians have little choice or protection towards the necromantic influences. In fact, if Zaros returned, we'd follow him blindly because we are no longer immune to his aura. The lore is becoming a bit more interesting next season, specially since Moia is set to become the first boss to use Necromancy Mechanics.

@@Kranon we have a different aura all together, it’s loosely shown in the aftermath quest and subsequent quests, we may not have the world protecting us any longer, but some special force is. I’m going to assume it’s guthix’s soul itself is residing in our characters, my reasoning goes back to sliske’s endgame where he puts the players soul in guthix and guthix soul in us before having the player kill guthix

@@ol2angegames597 Gods don't have souls - that's why they don't get afterlives. When they die, their anima spills out across the planet, instead of staying self-contained and moving on to an afterlife like mortal souls.

@@dfrancis710 They already have a mini game/d&d called court cases that you unlock after a certain quest where you are actually a lawyer defending various clients. The one where you are defending the Mime npc is one of my favorites. They could just make a new case with something like that in mind just to keep it simple if they really wanted to.

i just did im having so much fun and i appreciate not being as time consuming. managed to get base 90 all combat styles in legit a week. the quality of life is also so nice

You never quit RS, you only just take a break. I definitely will go for 120 in this

Honestly I could see us breaking the Wight curse and gaining the ability to call them to fight, or gaining a passive version of their abilities

I'm so excited for this skill. Necromancy is one of my favourite things in fantasy and it's coming to Gielinor omg 😭💀🖤

I hope you add more bank slots, bank presets, and action bars to supplement Necromancy release. If not, I'm going to have to drop a combat style entirely to make room for Necromancy.

Can't wait for the release ^^. Also really awesome of you guys to have invited various content creators. As they have a strong voice in the community.

Jagex really puts their all into their game, I've seen them try harder than almost any other company to keep their players engaged and willing to play despite their Investors putting pressure on their back to push the less desirable aspects of the game to the front. Also I like seeing someone popular like Josh Strife Hayes in this video, his long time passion for MMOs and RuneScape specifically makes him a great face to put on the video.

I'm actually blown away, I didn't expect a whole new combat tree!! I'm so hyped

I am totally excited for this new skill and I haven't played since Arch came out! Being able to choose combat, or regular skilling methods is a great way to get any type of player interested. "Earning" your progression is a sigh of relief. I love having earned my armor/weapons, without having to buy the upgrades and have the rich players maxing it out extra fast. Looking forward to see more about this awesome looking skill!

Is the gear level 90 stat wise or level 60 stats with 90 requirements similar to the fsw armour it was level 80 Def but lower stats

Is the old Necromancer outfit you get from the Shades of Morton mini game have any use for this skill?

Will it be skiller friendly (for level 3 skillers) since the combat level is going to maxed out at 152?

I am actually very happy with their decision to make this a skill you can't buy your way through. Reward players for playing the game, not buying bonds!

I say this as a dual wield warrior kind of guy who never really uses the other styles much. I have been looking forward to this for a good while and you guys did not disappoint at all. This looks fantastic. Well done. And hearing that it's outside the combat triangle has definitely piqued my interest. I might even try doing a hybrid necroknight build.

No release date?

@@Randomvideos3200 dont worry a new skill based on how Jagex does things, will only take you 1-2 weeks without treasure hunter to max completely. they've been focusing on making sure its easy and its why people are running out of things to do so frequently now days.

Runescape still one of the best mmo's around,jagex is doing good,only thing i miss is tickrate and movement fix,i wish this game's movement would be smoother,game would be incredibly popular

I'm just glad they decided to include a skilling side of the skill. Here's to hoping it's not monumentally slower than the combat methods, though.

Probably a mix depending on how it works could be both better or worse since they announced that the Xp grows with each level meaning there’s a chance it could start bad but maybe get better

Given the new skill tree thats coming with necromancy I get the feeling that this is them working on ironing out the gap between 99 and 120 for combat skills

Very cool, was not expecting a combat skill but actually now that I see it, this is a fantastic Idea. A new combat skill is going to change this game up alot and really bring my interest back into the game. I play off on AFK alot latley, This is going to bring me back.

Hey Jagex , please do something about disconnection problems: please make it instant log-out if the game crashes 'cuz i always die instant (i get a chance if i have 85% HP bar + sign of the porter) like its very annoying i have to pay GP and i'm grinding very hard for those T92-95 Gears. Hope you understand ! Also to mention: RS3 launcher on steam , my client crashes alot even though i re-installed it many times. (i only have Intel core i3 + integraded graphics), and "remove linked accounts" : i tried to log in on my different steam account and says: already linked in other accounts, Fix that too please !

You don't lose it, but you'll be unable to wear it or use its perks until you max again.

After jumping back and forth between osrs and rs3 for years I think this may be the first time I actually play both. Hopefully its fun

I've been a OSRS player for most of my life. Started RS3 literally yesterday and although I have no idea what to do with all the buttons I was greeted with yet this seems pretty intense.

I wish they would do something like this with the magic skill. Its really cool we have a fully flushed out story and skill to become a dark magic user, but what if I just want to be a mage? I understand I can do that and already have 99 magic but would be really cool to see magic portrayed in a similar way.
