Necro isn't a freestyler. That's probably his only weakness. But he can produce a banging beat, spit some gruesome shit on it, mix it, self release it on his own label and sit back re-coupe expenses. I'd think that takes a lot more talent than freestyling.

Sorry to be the one to put u on blast.. but, freestyling and goin off the dome are 2 different things, usually.. off the dome CAN be but is never limited to; freestyle, which means just that- freedom of style, no one aside from the artist is in control over the content and TYPE of flow (type as in written, rehearsed, written and rehearsed and off the dome, all of which are different forms of freestyles). Necro just freestyled a written. Freestyling is something EVERY MC does whenever they’re not laying a track for a premeditated record and sometimes they even do it on those. So u see, u had it twisted.. Freestyling isn’t a skill, it’s a gameplan to choose before practicing alone, with others and/or entertaining any number of people.. There’s a small fee for the lesson- This is a HUGE misconception around hiphop and a real pain in the @$$ lol..so, now that you’ve been schooled, it’s on you to do the same for the next Joe you witness misspeak on the subject.. Thems the Rules ;)

Still pretty impressive. He had to adjust the way he spat the lyrics to fit the rythm of a completely different beat on the spot. BDK himself said: "free-of-style...not necessarily off the dome".

Necro is legendary, no matter how you look at him. Still I think he's one of the better producers in the rap game.. AND has produced shit for legendary artists, projects. etc.

Haha honestly it didn't cross my mind, I don't pay much attention to FFoD, but it makes sense. I'm sure maybe one or two have been authentic, but unfortunately it seems to be that the easiest way to tell is to find the shittiest ones - then ya gotta decide if their writtens suck that bad or if they just did an honest off the dome verse and didn't kill it as much as they should have.

But none of this is new material. He pretty much just came on and repeated verses from songs past. And even if other artists memorized their pre-determined lyrics, it's still bad-sportsmanship on their part - their not honoring the whole, "Freestylin'" part.

The last one was great. And when it hit Heather B knew exactly what type of beat it was and knew exactly what Necro was gonna rap about and before he even started she said "oh no..." Haha was gold.

i am a huge necro fan and that was wack as fuck on both ends. Necro did not rap well but i can give say its not entirely his fault cause they gave him beats that don't fit his style at all.

every rapper has a different opinion of how freestyles should be. even necro said it. his is that he gets bars from his raps that he like and uses them because he wants to throw his best shit at you and others go off the dome. necro use to go off the dome check'em out in like '94 a youngster freestyling better than most now of days-off the dome.

freestyle stands for free of style which means you can write about anything in your pre written rhymes. off the dome is where you rap straight from your head.

I've seen like 3 or 4 freestyles of big l which was the verse from nigga please featuring herb mcgruff and stan spit and no one talked shit that he'd done it before. No one can just come up with insane shit off their head like that, if u ever heard eminem having to rap on the spot, which he does back in like 04 05 with sway he couldn't (and I know eminem don't belong on a necro video) but it's a good example. It was bad and choppy and didn't make sense. Almost every emcees freestyle was free versing and it was the shit or it wasn't.
