What Necro & his brother have been able to accomplish should be an inspiration to anyone who understands true hip-hop culture. They've been able to make a living off of thier Art through dedication & perseverance. Not just any Art, but Raw, Gritty, Hardcore Beats & Rhymes. No middle man, no corporate Bullshit, Real hip-hop shit, direct to the consumer. The freedom that these guys have to press up limited release 7 inches, videos, merchandise, all that kind of shit, is a big part of what makes what they do so special. The production value of thier records is incredible, & Bill's writing is unparalleled in my opinion (Plus they're white boys in a black subculture). They took the punk rock blueprint that dudes have been using to support thier music & applied that shit to hip-hop. Please support what these guys do, because once they hang it up, Hip-hop will truly be DEAD.

I'm so over all these kids saying "oh cell phone this and freestyle that" Smh. True hip hop heads know what I'm getting at here, to the point I don't even have to explain it, but for all you brothas hatin and perpetratin; pay attention. A freestyle rhyme, is something spit either A. OFF THE TOP OF THE HEAD (which all you fan boys believe is the only definition) B. Spit live with one take, no editing, mastering, etc. (Which can either be written,or remembered.) Now run and tell your friends you're a hip hop head.

The 1st rhyme that Necro spit was a Freestyle. Remember, Freestyle doesn’t always mean “off the top of the dome”. As long as you spit a new, fresh rhyme, then it can be considered a Freestyle. Because, the 1st rhyme that Necro spit, was a brand new rhyme, that he had never rhymed before, that he wrote specifically for the Tony Touch Show. So the 1st rhyme was a Freestyle. Then, the 2nd rhyme he spit, was a verse from ‘Thugcore Cowboy’.

  • @thajoint9245

@@emartin86 a written verse is not a freestyle period even if it is being heard for the first time. Freestyle consists of written punchlines with off the dome filler in between or full off the dome. A written verse is not Freestyle!! I'm not knocking Necro in any way here either because I've seen mad videos from his younger days spitting freestyles so I know he can!! The only thing I'm hating on here is the fact people are dumb enough in 2022 to not know what a "Freestyle" is but claim to bang the culture.

@Carla Esparza: How you going to mention Dizaster in the same breath as Necro? Necro has been in the game for 20 years, put out albums and work with some of the dopest MC's in the game. Dizaster is a tight battle rapper, but that's it. The guy probably wouldn't even know where to begin if he stepped into a studio to write an album or even construct a song. Most battle rappers don't even "freestyle" over a beat. They just spit a technique they've ironed out for a year or so. Writing and recording an album is on a whole different level. Plus Necro is a top notch producer too. Dizaster? Go find some smuck to battle in an alley somewhere and record on an iPhone to get views.

This sounds way too much like he's reading it. I mean obviously I know he _is_ reading it, but I assume you know what I mean. I feel like if he was more well rehearsed, and more into it, and had the verse memorized, it would have come off even better. **edit** I just noticed that Necro left two comments below saying that it was a last minute thing, that he wasn't prepared, was nervous, etc. Much respect for show in up and doing your thing on last minutes notice.

TimmyDopeness26 only on serious pieces should you memorize, past that if you cant you always have the option of that or reading smoothly, its an excess waste of space memorizing things which you wont really need or don't truly need to perform or are expected to like at a live performance, people always use there phones in studios, also memorization Is something that just happens naturally, you can focus on it to and try hard to memorize ,but just practicing your piece and reciting it will kill 2 birds with one stone, youll subconsciously take in your piece the more you recite it, and for anyone whos ever recorded you no when you right your fire down and you want to spit it there, you either recite to atleast get it out smoothly or memorize, but to practice till its remembered kills the momentum from that first take which should of been done shortly after you were at least able to get threw it with that right sound, while maintaining your breathing at the right pace &with out fumbling, reading books, your own music ect. even if you don't plan to perform it will raise your reading capability and aid you in becoming more lenient when reading pieces which you've just written though have never yet recited for in the future.

.your foolish .if he uses a phone know your stil not stating whats wrong with it, he simply just may not want to - choosing to want to memorize more significant pieces of work or he just simply may not be able .if people in the 90s went off the dome more that's good for them I like going off the dome2 but right now realize your being somewhat contradictive your attacking him for not going off the dome & yet hes using his phone which is close as you could get to doing so as opposed to memorizing it & spitting it like most & then labeling it a free like most do, (though this is obviously misleading & handful of people actually free on this & that's cause they cant or they realize they need to make it through an instrumental, Get that they have reputations related with there music & even a week performance on an internet talk show can damage potential growth with how much he could of sold as opposed he didn't because people saw his performance & respected him for freeing & keeping the culture alive like you would prefer but due to his most likely lower caliber bars as he was freeing - overtime his growth would progress but not nearly to that of what it is now I get were your coming from & I agree it would be good to see more rappers free but you shouldn't be going at necro - hes one of many who do this just like almost every other rapper that goes on a somewhat known media show & even if you did have great freeing ability you may not feel that you want to demonstrate them there even if it is a free labeled segment/performance, realize many are thinking that they have a reputation to uphold which connects to there bar caliber/lyrism which they normally produce & because of that even a free for supposed fun could again damage there reputation & stunt the growth of what could of been & you calling him faggot is obviously an emotionally fueled comment and not a factual/logical one, drop it you have no real point that your making, the fact is the majority of people simply wont truly free when asked & especially when recorded, they'll have some pre-memorized prewritten or even a sentence(s)/signature line at the top of there brain ready to be used know different then a person/superhero with a catch phrase) & when you think back you'll now remember your argument for why necro was in the wrong here was like you said "he was a faggot" while gave a few significant obvious reasons for why one may not want to free if the had a highly know but fragile reputation, you evaluate this yourself (last msg)
