I think so far, Dracula is the best universal monster they have done. Love them all, but it's Dracula.

Here’s an interesting fact. As they’re gonna make Frankenstein after the success of Dracula. Bela Lugosi was instantly offered the role of the monster after playing the iconic vampire, but unfortunately he didn’t really cared for it. Due to be covered in a lot of makeup and little to no dialogue.

I like how the bat is sculpted to look like a cheap rubber bat like in the prop used in the actual film. Thanks for the review Spot, I'm definitely getting this one .

I loved the B&W one even more, tbh. Looks better on my shelf with the Top Hat and everything. But, yeah, both Dracula are the best in the Universal Monsters line.

That clip on the cape is a game-changer! I hope more companies do this.

Absolutely love this figure!!! One of my favorites for sure of the line, just received Phantom and The Bride so I am super excited to get those opened up and add them to my monsters shelf! Great review as always Spot! Now just need to wait for London After Midnight, The Creature, and Nosferatu.

Yeah, there were dye issues in the hands of my figure. I thought the paint was simply fading away or something 😢.

I've seen those pictures. Someone suggested soaking the cape in cold water overnight before you put it on the figure.

@@shaonsarkar Ive heard the black dye transfers to the plastic parts. I have heard there are way to fix the dye or wash out the excess.

I was hoping you'd show him alongside Batula. :')

my only complaint is the inside of the cape should be silver colored, since that's how the costume was in real life. Other than that it was so good, I bought two for extra accessories.

Actually there were a few capes used in the original movie, he wore an all black long cape (just like this NECA version) and a silver inlaid short cape (which NECA also made for the B&W version) so if you get both NECA Dracula's you can mix and match. In other movies where he played Dracula or in public appearances he wore a salmon yellow inlaid black cape, which is the one he wore the most. In the colorized version of the movie they made the capes all black with red inlaid which they based it off the poster art for the movie. That became the cape that everyone to this day uses, even though he never wore a red inlaid cape for the movie. He did wear a red inlaid cape during the theater run of Dracula before the original movie was made.

In a Twilight fanfic I'm writing, the main plot is fairly simple, Teen fiction's favorite vampire fights Dracula. Though I choose to stick to the book here. At one point, when a kidnapped Charlie is trying to talk to Dracula as Dracula is drinking his blood from a large open wound in Charlie's neck, and when Dracula says 'soon, you will make a suitable servant" and Charlie says "so what do I have to do? Clean your cape?" And when Dracula talks about how it "may take some time for your daughter to adjust to the change" Charlie says "well, Bella does like your chocolate cereal, so there's that. Also, she loved you on Sesame Street as a kid, so you also have that going for you"

Now this is a must have!!!!He well look great next to kessler wolf. Absolutely loving the stuff neca is putting out lately.

I look at your channel as a reference for some of the purchases so no it would be nice to have the second wave checked by u the day it goes out

This is a nice looking Dracula. It's easily the best Universal Monsters figure that NECA has produced so far. All three head sculpts look great. Bela Lugosi's likeness is very good. I like the cape. Overall, the figure is nicely sculpted, painted, and detailed. The fact that one of the hands has the Candelabra already sculpted into it is a nice touch. I like the inclusion of the bat. Sold work on NECA's part! Thanks, Spot! I really appreciate the hard work! Keep it up! God bless and stay safe!

My favorite NECA Universal Monster release so far is the Invisible Man, then the Wolf Man, and then Dracula. But all five figures released so far are excellent!

The suit he wears in the B&W version is black & white anyway... so I just put the extra colour version's hands & head on it so I had a coloured Carfax Abbey figure.

Just wish he had a hat like Jack The Ripper

Got this one rather late as well and it was so well done I picked up the Silver Screen version as well. Phantom is on the way. I did not pick up the silver screen versions of the other Neca figures. But this one and probably Nosferatu will be worth it. Will not be getting the gillman other than the glow Remco version to complete that set if it releases retail. Your reviews are always wonderful and I agree with all your observations. Thank you!

Dracula is definitely the best looking so far. Followed by Frankensteins monster and then , imho, the Invisible Man. Currently working on a diorama to try to incorporate them into for this next Halloween.

Have the whole line so far,just picked up The Invisible Man 2 weeks ago at work (Target). The Creature from the black lagoon that glows in the dark is NOT an ultimate. It's in fact a San Diego Comic-Con exclusive with the Remco backing. Bride is just now hitting shelves so be on the lookout for her

Love this figure! One thing bugs me though: the cape is supposed to be red on the inside. I can’t fathom how they missed that detail. They make literally the best, most realistic action figures around, and usually get every detail.
