I think company re-issue figures so that folks who missed out the first time around can pick up the figure. It's not for folks who already have the original figure. It also combats against scalpers since they can't demand as much for the original figure as before.

The wear and tear on the mask's nose is a bit much in my opinion. Definitely better than the original version which really didn't have any wear and tear by comparison. But I mean by comparison to the film stills I was able to find online, it just seems a bit overbearing in my opinion. In the film itself the wear and tear on the nose is still there, but it is more subtle, more or less being the same color as the rest of the mask, but the damage to the nose having an outline visible enough that you are able to notice it if you try. On the figure itself though, it is a huge grey spot on the nose, impossible to miss. I feel that is a bit too much, and kind of makes it hard for me to focus on the entirety of the mask as opposed to just that one spot. It is the tiniest bit too much, but luckily for me I never bought the original release, so of course when I finally get this figure I'll be sure to pick up the reissue. By the way, just a word of advice: an easy way to determine whether it is the reissue or the original is by the hangtags. The newer hangtags for the reissues are cardboard, whereas the majority of the original figures had plastic hangtags. Hope that helps with any future reissues you are trying to find.

Another way of seeing is the number/letters in the title, 39716 is the re issues number, that is how I found it.

You can really tell the difference in the paint details on this. It didn't even cross my mind seeing him on the shelf again to check out the new paint application on him. Will definitely check out viewer Morgan's work. Thanks as always Spot.

One missing detail: Stab wound to Jason's leg.... after Dana Kimmel stabbed him in the thigh in Part 3-D. It would be cool if there was a very subtle and tiny pierce in his pants above the knee.

The flesh tone on heads and hands is a great bonus. Mask shape much better. Same with part 3 Jason, They’re two newer versions of part 3. Target with paint chipped nose on mask and Walmart with clean mask. Both using better paint apps and flesh tone on heads and Hands. Love them all, and have dozens of them. Lol

I want a ' 13 ghosts ' line of figures !!

I would like to see one of Mr. Slausen's "brother" from Tourist Trap. They could include interchangeable heads for the different masks he wore!

On my fair I’d rather take the original for reason : The reissue of Jason I don’t massively like the nose I don’t hate it but I like the original more but the tombstone eh not bad I do like it and I think the mask on the original mask is weird I like the reissue mask is better instead the nose for my liking.

Great comparrison. I actually think the original looks better and was worried because I saw your video after I ordered. The new mask looks like he's wearing a silver clown nose, I was so relieved when my figure arrived and I got the original!

I get two of each (all Jason figures that I have). One unopened and the other opened. I would get another one (making it three) but no more. As always awesome review 👍👍

Hmmm i think i like the mask on the original figure better. The chevrons look more true, and the nose on the newer one looks too dirty.

Interestingly, there is no less than 4 different reissues, each with subtle differences. Mine is in between these two, it has nose wear but it is not as pronounced as the more recent version. Almost every Jason has had updated paint at some point. There's four different versions of Part 3 as well.

There’s also been a reissue of the Halloween 2018 Michael Myers figure the head sculpt is more in scale to match the Halloween kills figure

Ebay? Thats taking a chance because people are selling fakes even in the US. Also at a cheaper price is a telltale sign that it might be a fake

The original Final Chapter Jason in the plastic packaging, before it was reissued as an "Ultimate" is still better than both of those Ultimate figures. Better paint and mask.

Odd, my original part 4 Jason’s machete had blood halfway painted to the end of the blade, the brush stroke only stopped halfway up the blade

The masks are on the wrong heads. The worn away chevrons were supposed to be on the machete slashed head, because they were more present at the beginning of the movie not until the end where he was getting hit in the mask by trish and also the TV being smashed onto his head. I bought the reissue and it is far more screen accurate than the original release. Great review, amazing figure. Neca, never disappoints. Now if they will only reissue us an ultimate h2 Dr. Loomis. And a 1:4 scale h2 Myers and Dr. Loomis guaranteed sellers.

I much prefer the original release when compared to the re-issue. Sure, the re-issue has been updated, which I do appreciate. However, the original figure looks better in certain aspects, but that's just my opinion. Otherwise, thanks again Spot!

The original one has my preference, he looks a little bit more textured and frightening than the reissue. Also I prefer the color of his hands on the original.

Love the figure but the machete could be better.always fell out of the figures hand for me
