In the scenes during the initial part of the trip, Khalid Rahman's character is usually standing off to the side hesitant to join in because he's not part of the gang, but they always make him feel included. And later on in the movie, he stands up for them and refuses to abandon Subash even when the guards ask him to leave. Brilliantly subtle character development.
