Various thunderstorms developed over eastern England on Tuesday as an upper trough covered England and Wales. The combination of surface heating and convergence zones aided the development of these storms - one of which passed to my south just after 2:30PM. It wasn't a direct hit but I was able to see some CGs and hear rumbles of thunder. It wasn't long before a second storm also developed around 10 miles to my north while the storm to my south was slowly dying. This storm was interesting because the back of it looked like it exhibited rotation - but this slowly wore away as it moved eastwards.
