@@fabiennepion8529 I’d say that the meaning isn’t intentionally or really at all lost in translation . They’ve just worded things differently so that they rhyme and fit well with the song. Edit: Sorry I just realised you said some of the meaning, which I agree with. :)

Cette chanson est assez dark. Car le pauvre Bruno se fait diaboliser par sa propre famille. Et quand on sait où il est, c'est encore plus triste.

Why is the mixing so tasty in this version. I can hear all the overlapping parts so clearly. Love this cast especially Kaycie Chase on Isabella who already wowed me as Feifei in Over the Moon.

La partie de Camillo est vraiment incroyable

as someone who is learning french,this is the best version ive ever heard.

At 2:40 when Camilo says “Isabella, ton homme arrive” that cracked me up for some reason XD

I appreciate that they still made it rhyme, since in english it rhymes and so does in french and im sure it does in other languages, so no matter what language you speak you can still jam to this song. This movie is really a masterpiece.

La traduction est pour moi un 9/10. La seule partie où je suis pas fan c'est la prédiction de Dolores. La version original dit "The man of my dream would be out of my reach, promised to another" donnant "L'homme de ma vie serait hors de ma portée, promis à une autre", ce qui permet de laisser planer le doute sur "Est-ce que Dolores ne pourra réellement jamais être avec son amour ?" La version française dit vraiment qu'il se mariera à quelqu'un d'autre, donc que vraiment c'est mort pour Dolores et Mariano. Mais voilà, mis à part ce point, traduction qui marche super.

Durant la partie de Dolores nous pouvons apercevoir Bruno dansant au fond (à l'étage du haut plus présicément) 1:10 on le voit un peu mieux il a une aura verte autour de lui , il est entre les tête de Dolores et de Mirabel /et aussi durant la partie ou tous les personnages chantes celle quand entend le moins est Dolores car elle dit le truc le plus vrai et celui quand entand le plus est Camilio car c'est celui qui dit le truc le plus faux je trouve cela assez intéressant ! (Aprés la deuxième hypotése reste une théorie :))

Haha I think I got it 😄The reason Camilo's part fits so well in french is because the singer chose to emphasize the "r"s. It worked so well because the word "frissons" sounded more frightening than "frame" where the singer in the english version emphasized the "a". It's all in the "r"s.

I enjoyed those multi language mashups but I only speak English and French so all I knew was the different versions sounded good and was curious how well the translation teams kept the spirit of the original version. If the French one is any indication they did better at it than I expected. It’s particularly hard to do with English and French since something that’s one word in English can easily become two or three in French, but I give it a solid 7/10 (Dolores’s line on the balcony lost a lot of punch, and replacing “married in a hurricane” with rain suffers the same isssue, but those are minor complaints really and I’m sure someone who heard the French version first didn’t notice anything missing)

Interesting change: In English Isabela sings "He told me that my power would grow like the grapes that thrive on the vine" but in French it's more like "my power will be as strong as the summer sun" It's a small difference and likely just for rhyming/rhythmic purposes, but it actually changes the meaning a bit
