But when a Guy tried to get to know from which source these things then Ncert had no source .They never teached you properly Maratha kings and Sikh Kings and no proper Description about Chatrapati Shivaji Maharaj . We all have studied about the moguls and Delhi Sultanate today. If today I will ask anybody about Mughal dynasty or Delhi sultanate kings name,Most of the people will know but if I would ask before Delhi sultante who were the kings and Dynasties who ruled North India who were kings and dynasties and their names in Southern India ruling very few people will able to answer it.Tell me the name of Chola Dynasty’s Kings Names who ruled India Southern Indian for more than 1000 years , Southern Indian kings also ruled in Sri Lanka and South East Asian countries like Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, Cambodia, etcetera. There is no proper mention of these things in our Ncert Books . Which Indian Kings kept away muslim rulers from Coming to India ,there is no mention of those kings . There is no mention of sufferings and killings done by the mughals and Delhi Sultanate .No mention of how many temples were destroyed. There is no mention of Nalanda University, which was the oldest university in the world which was destroyed by Bhaktiyar Khilji in our books .

We cannot leave education to rot like this in India. All parents in India should start educating themselves about our past history, recent political history and educate their children about facts, falsities and half-truths. Pls encourage children to read books other than textbooks so that children can develop the capacity to discern facts and cultivate an open mind and a questioning mind. This is extremely important for the intellectual and emotional development of children, otherwise our children will grow up and contribute to a hateful, immoral, and fundamentalistic culture.

UP itself teaching a lesson to the BJP should open and alert the southern states not to vote for the ineffective, corrupt, authoritarian, and divisive politics of the BJP.

History cannot be erased just by removing from the books.what has happened cannot be undone. When something happened in the past which was bad,cruel,or defeats, violence,or all that was good only is preposterous. Every country, every family,every individual has the dark or black ,grey,and white or good and nothing can be changed,we just need to accept to learn and learn lessons for the future. We know about Nero, or Kamsa, Hitler,or the crusades or the world wars even after centuries. .

I am fortunate to have completed schooling in 2014. Yogendra Yadav etc should upload their original textbooks on a site so that students can refer to it. If I was a parent, I would want my child to know what things were removed and make up his/her mind on it

As a teacher I use to wonder why so many important chapters have been removed. But we teachers can't do anything about it. Very sad indeed. Our future generation don't know our history. Yes during my time Civics was part of the curriculum but strange....when my niece and nephews had no Civics in school. Even in History text books so many things are missing. When I ask my niece who is in Class 7.. who is Akbar, Babur, Chengis Khan, Prithviraj Chauhan,the Marathas, Cholas Chandra Gupta's Golden Period, etc, she doesn't know anything because its not in her text book.

Watching both sides of media to get a balanced opinion, observed this 1. No side talks about their own failures 2. Each side projects only the failures of the opp side, and engage in fewr mongering 3. 55 years of governing 90% of our country has resulted in zero learning for Congress, and they have moronic responses when media houses pushback 4. BJP has its own set of internal issues but instead of tackling them, they are doing what Congress suffers from - too much centralisation. When media confronts, they simply engage in whataboutism of Congress's failures rather than admit their own + chart a corrective action plan. Tl;dr - no side is holier than thou, no media group is without bias. Vote for policies, not persons as they will die one day. Policies endure and transcend. Vote for lesser evil. No neta is (allowed to be) clean.

All exuberance, rhetorics and flurry of promises. He lacks dignity and perhaps good education. Modi = Bluff master; is the growing perception. People are rejecting Modi - Shah type dishonest rhetorical WAVE Politics. DMK challenged BJP openly with anti hindutva- Sanatana - Hindu rhetorics. They routed BJP in TN. BJP TN= 0. Modi likewise pitched aggressively with Infiltrators- NO Reservation rhetoric while riding on Ram Mandir. He lost badly in BJP stronghold. Ayodhya was the icing on the cake. Modi barely saved himself in Banaras. See the contrast between DMK and BJP. Similar approaches yeilding opposite results. Why? What is wrong with BJP? While opposition seemed to learn fast, BJP is lagging. Loss is attributable to poor leadership and lack of sensitivity to grasp shifting ground realities. BJP double engine betrayed Karnataka. Modi-Shah treated the massive mandate they recd as business opportunity to expand business for Gujarat brands, BOB and Amul. Succeeded in the former and caught red handed in later. Shame but not ashamed. Unscrupulous mindset and arrogance on the part of top leadership is making BJP to lose elections in south and perhaps in north India also. Instead of capitalising on many opportunities that have come in the BJP way and growing voter base in the South, BJP is wasting them everytime. Look how Shah misbaved with Tamilisai in public. Amit Shah could be seen sitting next to the Seers in Karnataka in disrespectful posture. Modi downplaying CM Siddharamaiah on the stage. There are many such clips that are shown regularly in the media. How are they supposed to be the leaders of Hindus when they lack in qualities to be expected from a good Hindu. They better abandon Hindu credentials and just be politicians. In politics also, the leadership has been coming short. BJP used Yogi ji and Biswa Sarma during 2023 Karnataka state election campaign and lost badly. These are the leaders from laggard & lawless states. Anti incumbency was a joke after barely ruling for 3 years using defected MLAs. Sr BJP leaders from the state are hardly ever used for election campaign in Karnataka. This time, 2024, BJP used Annamala who is now sniffing opportunity from Karnataka. Already there is one stateless, constituencyless and useless FM, Mrs Nirmala Sitaraman. Right etiquettes, respect and dignity pay off in enhancing public perception. Leaders must educate themselves to learn and internalise diverse cultures, sensibilities of different regions. They must possess good understanding of federalism. Not treat common voter as commodity which can be bought through last minute Road Shows by Modi with showering of petals on him. Flagging off of Vande Bharat is still cheap. BJP leadership continues to misread people's support. It is Lose - Lose scenario. Congress is partially successful in winning the trust of the voters in south despite several set backs from time to time. Rajiv Gandhi payed for his arrogance in Karnataka and Andhra where he removed the CMs arbitrarily. Clearly with Modi at the helm BJP looks certain to lose ground. They are already looking like spent force. They need to renew very quickly. It is possible to consolidate in south with lots of research and localisation. That is a different model from the kind that BJP has set for itself.
