Thank you for your story. It gives those of us with prodigal sons hope that they are surviving out there in the world alone. And will come home when they are ready. Running away from home and suicide are the cruelest form of revenge. It leaves no room for reconciliation or closure for both ends. Life shouldn't be this way but pain causes some to make hard choices. You're one of the lucky moms, not every son returns home to give us a second chance.

It's best raising ur kids alone so no one's can abuse them . Ur kid just needed more attention n love . So sad to be separated for so long but he did do well by himself

Nothing can prepare a person to become a parent and there’s no training program as each child has their own temperament and personality. Children learned from their environment. Everyone reacts differently from their experiences in life. Children become their own person of their own choosing. Such a very heartfelt story. Thank you for sharing your late son with us. I'm married to the 2nd born and most hard headed child of the family. His temper will go from 0 to 10 in seconds. Hes like that son in this story. His parents gave him everything and didn't argue with not giving it to him. He's my problem now but like that son he is the most giving, loving and thoughtful person. Just don't make him mad lol his mom loves him and still calls about him all the time.

This is such a sad, heart breaking story. It's not easy to have a step parent...no one will never understand the struggle and sadness. Yus txiv tshaj tsis hlub yus mas tu siab mys tag ib sib neeg.

Bawling my eyes out. . . . . . . such a sad story for the son and the mom but I'm so glad they made peace before he passed.

That’s right. Don’t ever doubt your children’s love for you. They didn’t ask to be born. Some kids will grow up to be selfish and heartless but most parents are as well. In this case, even though this mom didn’t show any love to his son, he has always longed for his mother’s nurturing love. So heartbreaking and I hope all young parents learn from this story and all older parents think turn back and do the right thing. We only no how to live and love because of our parents.

This is a mother's worst nightmare. But the moral of the story, this lady said it. She remarried and just thought of herself, figured if she was ok,.then that was good. This story confirms my belief that a single parent should not date/remarry until the kids are adult age. When a child can't find a safe place, a place to fit in, an important relationship, the child will seek the crowd that accepts them.
