Down 24-7 with 9 minutes to go in the 4th. Ended up winning 46-44 in triple OT. Most ridiculous game I have ever witnessed, and the first legendary performance by Pat White. Instant classic

I got so smashed during this game and started the "burn the couch" chant on the way out of the stadium while rolling down the hill lol. Didn't burn any couches though. I was such a poser lmao. Those were the days in Motown.

Crazy game! Only reason I got out of a probable DUI was because they won and were burning the couches that night...Mo-Town was a good time that night.

My brother won tickets to this game on the radio. He doesn't really like football and I absolutely love it. He offered me the tickets for me and my wife and at the last minute he decides to go ahead and take his girlfriend just to have a night out. So I was stuck listening to this game on the radio while my non-fan brother was there. What a dick.

On the polar opposite end of the spectrum. I had a chance to go to the Pitt game in 07', but got extremely sick and couldn't make the 4 hour drive.

@@grantwileyesq.5962 I was at that game, and the administration, crowd, and band all conspired to so taunt the Gods of Football that they had no option other than to smite WVU that night. It started with some pregame gimmick to film the crowd chanting something for some reality show I can't remember now. The crowd was totally blase about the game -- no spirit, no sense of rivalry, they just assumed Pitt would roll over. Then the band spells out "BCS" on the field and I was like Oh my God they aren't doing that, are they? We'll never have an opportunity like that again, and we screwed the pooch big time.

@@ShroomKeppieWow!! I cannot imagine the feeling in the stadium. I've never experienced anything like it. You could feel it from the opening second. Guys I work with in the mines listened on the radio and said they could feel it instantly as well. I went through a divorce that same year and I'm not sure which hurt more lol. We have a great young coach but I think Huggy will cut a net down. This is final push! Everything is there in place. Huggy knows it and the players believe! I want to see 1 title before I die! I think this is our time! Let's Go!

Back to back games with Louisville in 05-06 that were legendary. It was building into a great rivalry.
