i’m sorry but if someone falls i feel like they shouldn’t still get a 9.225

    A. Sheremeta with Missouri somehow got a 9.45 not a 9.0 for that routine with a fall. One judge gave her a 9.55.

it just depends on how well you do the skills not including the fall. typically in usag (i’m unaware of the judging in ncaa) gymnastics they take .5 off for a fall, so if the rest of the routine was flawless, a 9.225 actually is fairly likely.

Is it just me or has Arkansas had a ton of falls this year? Hope that one girl is ok, she looked like she was hurting.

the first 2 vaults do the coaches just not care that their freaking yurchenkos, a skill learned to be straight pretty early on, has bent knees

Might be wrong - but they could be doing it in a tucked position instead of laid out? At least that’s what the second looked like.

@@bellahoegstedt6416 I agree that they may have been tucked but it is still pretty early to start tucking which is probably part of the reason they’re falling like that!

i believe that they practise a kind of contingency plan, if anything feels off in the run/pre-flight/contact on the horse, they quickly tuck the position for safety/easier to get around with less air time

@@AuthenticMage the start value is always a 10. the reason they still score so high is bc it’s college. they have different scoring & code of pts.
