Both are good names at least. Tho race to Heisman sounds like it could be as easy as 1 season but rtg is nice since it makes me want to play throughout the career even if I've won a heisman

I remember I bought ncaa 06 once the game just didn’t work. Like it just wouldn’t let my play the game. Safe to say I got scammed.

As someone who played this game religiously in my youth, AS Texas Tech no less, this series is gonna be nostalgia galore. Fun fact, #20 for TTU is Danny Amendola, only big time name on that roster.

Played this game for an untold amount of hours. Still play the ps2 ncaa’s to this day. I love them. The animations are so smooth.

Yea, there is something to be said for smooth gameplay over ultra detailed gameplay. At some point along the line EA lost the script... Focusing more and more on control scheme gimmicks and 45 different elbow pad options and 30 different catch animations. They started ignoring truly tight user controlled gameplay. For all their warts, and dont get me wrong these old games have plenty of warts, but I do think the PS2 era was the apex for football video games.

@@control_the_pet_population agreed the ncaa where reggie bush was on usc was my favorite ncaa all the game modes wer fun ect i usually just played as that team cus he was the fastest at the time imo although pretty sure it was just fact.. i actually gave a crap about foot ball back than tho as i was a kid and actually played for teams all that time

I remember watching these presentations thinking man its going to be awesome in 15 years. Little did I know that this was going to be the best it would get. I used to think man its going to be like real life, but that was before EA completely mailed it in.

This was the first NCAA football game I played and instantly got hooked.

You can go into rosters and click on auto name players and everyone will get a random name

Seeing all the players w only their numbers and going "omg that's so and so" brought so many fucking memories in the 22 minutes.

I remember when this came out. I sat through Summer school just waiting to get back home and start it up. The commercials were dope, too.

As a person who has been a Tech fan my whole life and currently goes to Tech, I have been waiting for the time a KZreadr uses them in one of these vids.

I graduated from TTU in 2019 and grew up loving this game. Very nostalgic and super invested in this series!!!!!

I love the the depth in NCAA 06. I have a good feeling this will be a great series.

Right as I got back into playing this NCAA game you upload a video on it! I've played hundreds of hours on this game and always play it to this day. Looking forward to this RFH series.

I got my first ps2 in 2007, and my dad bought me this game that Christmas. I played this game almost everyday through middle school when I got it. This game was one of my favorites, and pivotal in my childhood. Love to see you playing it!

This is the greatest NCAA game ever made on Sony PS2, I had them all and played middle/high school football through these great, simple years.

The “Return of the King” to college football

Man...this video brings so much nostalgia to me. Growing up the only game I had on the ps2 (football wise) for the longest time was NCAA ), and its literally the same as this. I put so much into that game, playing as good ole Nebraska. That was when I beat Kansas 240-7 lmao. But these older games were honestly amazing. I truly and genuinely hope a series does come out of this because I can't be the only one who feels this nostalgic. Keep up the greatness NTE!

I remember this game very well and going in as a RB is a bit challenging, you really have to watch your blockers and stay close, but not too close and the spin and juke are magic once they're mastered. Glad to see you back on the gridiron Drewski!

My friend from elementary school is a QB at Texas Tech now so now when I see the school logo that’s who I’m reminded of. I’m genuinely so happy for him and hope he does well.

The -06 games were the first to introduce player career modes (separate from dynasty and franchise and such) and the first iteration of the mode is a little rough around the edges. That's why there's no player lock and whatnot. Perhaps try NCAA 08 for your defensive player career mode to get a more polished experience.

Don't forget: In college, the clock stops when you get a first down under 2 minutes in a half until the ball gets spotted, so running for a first is a legitimate strategy.

Man if I could like this video a thousand times I would. One of my fav ncaa games and the nostalgia of the Oklahoma drills and the game in general🤌🏽might be my new favorite drewski series

Got this game for my 13th birthday. It was also the day that I found out my mom had cancer. Not to worry, she’s had it beaten for 15 or more years. This was a game that I sank a ton of hours into and did so many HB directs it wasn’t even funny.

NCAA 06 takes me back! My favorite sports game back in the day next to MVP Baseball 2005. The soundtrack, the menu with the old school highlights, and the gameplay. Peak EA

Thought #88 might have been Crabtree. As a Texas fan, memories of what he did to the team haunt me. But alas, #88 is Jarrett Hicks, apparently one of the best receivers to ever come through the school - on paper that is.

As an App State Alumni, I appreciate all the App State Mountaineer references. I’ve heard you reference them in several videos in the past and I beam with pride every time!

I used to play this game a TON as a kid! Still my favorite NCAA game ever. It also included a bunch of smaller teams like App State, and Furman. Also, if you go into the roster settings you can auto-name all the players, so they aren't just HB #12, etc

Go to rtg in ncaa 10 you had to actually go to classes and stuff

I was literally just thinking about how a new NTE NCAA series would be cool this morning,so glad for a new series

This version and NCAA 07 for the PS2/XBox generation are so fantastic. They came out while I was in college, and 15-16 years later, they’re still some of, if not the top NCAA games ever made.

I loved playing this. I have it in the old blockbuster rental case. I loved playing it so much, my parents outright bought it from them instead of continously renting it.

I was in 10th grade when this game came out. Me and 2 friends would each buy a few different sports games each year so when we got together every weekend we could play them all. We had a tourney bracket for each game and rotated games to keep it fresh. Takes me back, great video.

The dynasty mode is unreal in this game it’s far more in depth than 14 there’s recruiting showcases and such and your players can even get suspended for stuff like academics or even for trouble with the law. It’s the most fun I’ve ever had playing dynasty especially creating your own school too I’d love to see you play it bro
